“Nice, Modern Hotel”

If you consider yourself a hip person, stay here. But if you're a TGIF or Applebee kind of person, then don't stay here. The neighborhood is similar to New York where you walk out and see different eclectic restaurants, sidewalk crepes, farmers market. The hotel is very modern. Just be careful of the shower, since it's designed to be used to bathe in a tub so you may splash water everywhere because there is no shower curtain, just a small section of wall glass. The buffet breakfast is good, especially the croissants, espresso, cold cuts, cheese, eggs, etc. Very European. The staff is very nice and speak English.

“Good Place to stay”

Helpful staff, very nice breakfast, very clean room, recently updated baths, flat screen TV, close to the metro. My room was small by U.S. standards but if you can pack light there is no issue. While it's not situated in the heart of tourist activity I thought it was an excellent value. An interesting hotel and as I have cause to return to Paris soon, I'll go back.

Certainly a good deal of expense has gone into creating a stylish yet economical place to stay. Ideal for those looking for someplace unusual and well located. Extremely close to the Faidherbe Chaligny metro station.

“Coolest Hotel in Paris”

We loved staying at Colour, it was such a funky hotel with an awesome breakfast room. Yes it has the tiniest elevator in the world but thats the 'worst' thing. A great location for metro (2 line options), shops and cafes. The staff are very friendly and the internet access is free! I would definitely stay there again. Hotels in Paris can be quite overpriced for dingy rooms but this was noty one of those places.

“Nice hotel - good location”

Nice hotel - good location, 10 mins walk from Place de Bastille, 3mins from nearest metro stop on line and just the other side of the main road from trendy local nightlife. Taxi from Gare du Nord cost 15-20 euro. I would recommend getting the metro to either bastille and walk 5-10 mins or change at Bastille and get on line 8 two stops for Faidherbe Chaligny. Cheaper and probably quicker given the paris traffic. Hotel decor is very trendy and contemporary. Staff helpful and pleasant. We conversed in french with them but their english was very good. As mentioned in previous reviews, only downside to the room is that the door to the bathroom is not really a proper door and all noises (!) from the bathroom can be heard in the bedroom. Fine if you are comfortable with the person you are sharing a room with.

“Wonderful hotel for a wonderful holiday”

My husband and I have just returned from a five night stay at this hotel. It has recently been refurnished and is beautiful, spotless and welcoming. The reception staff were very helpful and the room was wonderful. I could not recommend the hotel more. On a return trip we would stay here again. The area is okay. Near the Bastille but with a few cafes, bars and restaurants nearby. Not much for during the day time but we had some lovely evenings nearby.

“This place is Awesome!!!!!”

I would defiantely reccomend this hotel, it was perfect. Was close to all metro stations which made getting around paris so easy, the staff were amazing, the room was awesome, and really funky designs, the breakfast was great - it was definately a great place to stay and our trip was very relaxing because of this.

“Excellent location”

We really enjoyed our stay and were pleasantly surprised with how excellent the location was. Really near a metro stop for convenience, and near to supermarkets, restaurants and excellent patisseries. The reception stays open 24 hours, and it feels like coming back to an oasis of calm. We had a room facing out onto to street with two large windows which meant that the room as light and airy. The waterfall style shower was brilliant! Would definitely go back again

“A Luxury Boutique”

Simple perfect, the location, the ambiance, the staff, everything was top quality. A very chic boutique hotel, I would definately stay again. the cherry on the cake for a fantastic holiday
