We had a great experience at Residenza. It's located quite close to all the major sights and we loved walking around the pedestrian area. We felt very safe both outside and inside the B&B. When the four of us arrived, the taxi took us to the wrong street, one block past the Residenza. Just as we were pulling out the map, he returned and said "wrong street!" and we piled back in and he took us to the correct address. There's a keypad outside the door, and using the code which Stefano had sent us by email, we entered and took the lift up to the 3rd floor. When we walked into reception, Stefano met us & let us pick our rooms, (we chose #6 with a view of the Duomo from the bathroom) then gave us a map and circled all the places of interest in the area. The next day, after we returned from an all day tour of the Cinque Terre, we found two champagne glasses and cookies on a tray in our room, with a note saying there was a small bottle of Asti in the fridge for us! We were so surprised. Guests also have use of the reception area which is open all night with a small community fridge, dishes, glasses, cutlery, free water machine & a 60c coffee machine. I gave comfort a 4 because the beds & pillows are extremely firm, but the extra pillow in the armoire is cushy and Stefano gave us a second one. On the day before our flight home, Stefano let us use his computer to checkin online and print boarding passes. Overall we loved staying here and Stefano is a very welcoming host.

Hotel Olimpia is set in the middle of Florence close to all the main attractions. There are numerous restaurants within a stones throw of the hotel and even more shops. You cannot fault this hotel, for the price you get everything, a great breakfast, very friendly staff and a clean room with comfortable beds. Would stay there again.
Modern room in extremely central location on Piazza Della Repubblica. Noisy outside but quiet when windows closed. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast with fresh fruit and make your own cappuccino. Excellent shower.

Frankly its expensive, thats why I picked it, its worth every penny and the location is beyond perfect, the staff feel hand picked and the atmosphere is opulent yet welcoming. the cocktails are among the best i have ever had and the dining room is stunning, its a small venue in terms of foot print but thats mainly down to the architecture in the area, there room was very elegant and had a large hallway and a walk through closet which gave it the feel of an apartment with views onto the street through shutters, sound proofing was epic so staying in bed in the morning was made all the better.

Our room was not at the main location, but across the Arno, one very short block from the Ponti Vecchio. Great location, very close to great restaurants too. We needed to tell them our arrival time so someone would be there to check us in. The apt was roomy, clean and a great location

I only had one night here so could not appreciate all of the facilities, but I enjoyed very much my stay. I had a very comfortable bed with soft pillows, which is unusual for Italy!! The hotel decor was very chic and calm, with attention to room fragrances, soft drapes, and a colour scheme in hues of taupe and grey. The hotel is built around a tower, with a small museum and is 2 seconds from the sites of the Duomo, and the Uffizi. It is quiet as long as you keep the windows closed.
