Would Ramble again
The Ramble On was a wonderful place to stay! Our little A-frame was just right for the 4 of us and our dogs. We were very impressed by the cleanliness of the property upon check-in, especially being near a beach and pet friendly. There wasn’t a lick of sand or pet hair anywhere. Kudos to the cleaning crew. The furnishing and beds were comfortable. The kitchen was adequate for the few things we made. My only complaint about the whole experience was the beach access wasn’t quite as easy as I feel the pictures made it appear. My elderly mother was with us, and she couldn’t traverse the trail down to the beach which was disappointing. Other than that, we were very pleased with the property. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Fun Family Beach Get A Way!
We had a great time here! Great location, the beach was perfect, so clean and private and beautiful! We really enjoyed out nightly sunset beach trips. The little trail to the beach was pretty easy and short for us, but definitely makes your legs feel the burn on the way back up! We are pretty active so it wasn’t a big deal for us, but if someone had some Mobility issues then it could possibly be harder for them. The cabin was cute and fun, and our family had a great time there. Great location, close to lots of things to do, we even drove to nearby Depot Bay and saw Whales!!

Fun experience

Fun house, great spot

Fantastic property and beach
This property was so cozy and unique. We came here for a mother-daughter get away and had a great time. The location is fantastic and the beach completely exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend this property!

Funky Motel Feel on the Coast
This place is well decorated and is close to the beach. The property has more of a funky motel feel than a cabin or Shalet in the woods. Perfect for people on their 20’s or early 30’s. Front window view is a huge parking lot. Out back is the highway that you drove in on. Luckily traffic is light at night so the traffic noise did not keep me up.

Sweet spot
Definitely recommend this sweet little spot. A quick walk to the beach (there is a small hill to climb/descend). Games, books, & movies available in the house, and all the things you’d need. We really enjoyed the getaway.

Perfect Lil Chalet with private beach.
The title sums it up perfectly. Quiet place. Privateish beach. Cozy home. Would come back for sure. Don’t forget to check out the dvd library they surprisingly had The Big Lebowski!!

Calling all Big Lebowski fans!
My husband is a huge Lebowski fan. We came here for his birthday and had such a kick with the themed chalet. It was clean, well organized, and a short walk to a semi private beach. The only bummer is that the campfire and bbq area was closed. We had a bonfire on the beach instead and minus the wind it was great. The kids loved having their own space upstairs in the loft. I highly recommend!

Charming little getaway
This is such a cute little place and so full of character and thoughtful details. We loved the quick access to the beach, as well as being close to Newport without actually being in the city. John and Heather have really been thoughtful in creating a pleasant experience for their guests, from stocking the bathroom with lots of little necessities one might have forgotten to providing a really helpful guide on things to do in the area. The house itself is very comfortable and cozy. The only thing I would change, as another reviewer mentioned, is adding blinds or a shade to the top window. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and in fact my 5 year old was on the verge of tears on our last day at the thought of leaving “our little house.” Thanks, John and Heather!

Wonderful family holiday
We had a wonderful stay at "The Dude's Abode" it was so nice to come back to the cabin when the fog rolled in during our week stay. There was plenty of room for our family of 4 and we took advantage of the games and DVDs provided on some of the chilly nights. Loved the beach that was great to walk down to. Our first trip down I thought we would just "take a peek", but 4 hours later we were still wandering, wading, and exploring. I have wanted to holiday on the Oregon coast for over 25 years, this was a fantastic and cozy way to do it. Thanks John & Heather!!

Great location
Was a great location to base out of for trips up and down the coast, whale watched in Depoe Bay and enjoyed walking the historic bay front in Newport, both are close by. The property was just as described, and though it is a bit of a walk to the beach (not so very far, but it is on an incline the whole way) the beach is quite private. During our for night stay there ware netted more than a half dozen other people within a quarter mile of us.

Loved the secluded "cabins"! It's a little walk to the beach. Beach was almost private. The cabin was clean and everything worked. Only suggestion is they put a blind in the front 2nd floor window. Not only did it add to heat in cabin, but it produced a strong glare on first floor. Our dog (lab) loved it! They have pick up bags and a hose to wash her off after the beach. Would highly recommend!
