Very outdated hotel right next to petrol station and very busy at night with some traffic. The receptionist was not so friendly and not good at customer service. The room was clean and comfortable.

Hotels.com stated that they had an airport shuttle. This is not true and a cab cost me $45. Additionally, they do not have a restaurant and instead provide a pretty lame evening snack with kid-like snacks (my night was chicken nuggets and boiled potatoes). The rooms were small but adequate for a one night stay.

Excellent Hotel! Great stay.
Just coming of holiday from USA in which every hotel we stayed in provided plastic plates, cups, cutlery and one use plastic for bathroom products it was very nice to see how much the Scandic Hotel actually cared about the environment, no plastic in sight. We had arrived at the airport and easily figured out the bus to the hotel, cost £3 pp, dropped us just across the road. Checkin was easy and the lady was very pleasant which we found true in all the staff. The lady had stated it was an old hotel (some 20 years old), you could not tell, it was immaculate, very nice decor, lovely bathroom with excellent shower, comfy bed and good size TV. We had dinner that night which was amazing!! Very well priced also. Burger was cooked perfect and the steak my girlfriend had also excellent. With the decor, lit fireplace, made for a romantic meal. They also have a shuttle bus back to the airport which picks you up right outside the hotel, bookable at reception. We have plans to revisit Oslo and will not hesitate to book this hotel! Thank you to all the staff who made our stay wonderful.

Hotel is fine, seems to be equal to others in area. somebody should fix the airport itself. Have had much better experiences in Ghana. Wont be returning to Norway at all until they do.

Nothing unique about hotel just convenient close to airport. We arrived at the hotel 2 hours before check in time after 26 hours of flights from Australia to be told that it would cost us another 150 kr to check in early or we could wait. Annoyed we decided to wait. After about 45 minutes a family arrived and were checked in no mention of the check in time or fee . I questioned the reception staff and they said that the receptionist had made a mistake so they decided to let us check in then with no fee. They said there was a lift around the corner to the 2 nd floor but it was out of order, how could they not know this. The hotel is tired and needs work to make it better. The reception staff need understanding of travellers needs and maybe a 24 hour stay from time of check in to cater to travelers needs being a hotel close to the airport.

Great budget hotel. Older, but very clean! Super friendly staff and amazing breakfast!! Thinner walls and can hear neighbors, but if this doesn't bother you, then it's GREAT!

The location was convenient to the airport. Not especially welcoming front desk, information relayed at check-in was minimal. Very clean, but small room. Comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast. Must use the shuttle as the hotel was not realistically within walking distance to hotel. The shuttle seemed expensive considering the short distance.

Impressed!
Very good in all aspects. Breakfast selection was very good value with a variety of foods to suit all tastes. Was a little concerned by proximity to Mcdonalds drive thru, but there was no noise disturbance...........can recommend the hotels own 'take off burger"! Excellent.

It was so close to the airport, which made me feel better with an early flight. The only complaint that I had was there didn't seem to be clear communication between the shuttle bus and the hotel. We kept getting told that the bus would arrive in 2 minutes, but waited 20 minutes.

I would not stay here
I arrived close to 1am. The room looked worn, but we thought we are only going to stay for a few hours before our flight, so why would that matter. The shower had some kind of red looking mildew. There was a hair on a towel. The beds were hard. The traffic could be heard from the road, even though we turned on white noise. Breakfast was alright, no complaints there. The shuttle mentioned is a shuttle bus that is public so you have to buy your ticket from a dispenser then walk across a busy street with no walkway. We waited in the hotel for a few minutes for the shuttle, then were told that that day, the pickup would be across the street and not in front of the hotel. We arrived at 7:30 for the 7:34am shuttle and we waited until 7:52am. Luclily, we had blocked plenty of time to get through airport security. Every other Scandic we stayed in was wonderful.

Near Gardermoen
We had two sets of bunk beds which were surprisingly comfortable for sleeping. Tight quarters for a family of four not used to large US hotel rooms, but very doable. The area is near the airport and right off the E6. Good place to stay if coming/going from Gardermoen. The breakfast was great.

Basic hotel for business. Overprised restaurant.
The first hotel ever requesting an additional payment for early check-in. I have travelled a lot everywhere in the world and this was first time ever I needed to pay for early arrival. (Yes, I arrived 9 am, but they had a room ready, but only against a fee.) The lady in the restaurant was very friendly, but the rest of restaurant staff did not "see" or greet the customers. Poor quality/price ratio; hamburger with water about 28 euro. The McDonalds just outside the hotel is the obvious "dinner" choice for any future stay here.

Expedia recommend based on flight 2 hours away why
Nightmare experience with Expedia. Have never been to Norway before so when expedia recommended this hotel based on the flight I foolishly trusted them. This hotel is in an isolated area needing car hire or a shuttle bus (neither cheap) to reach Oslo airport or the city. My flight was to Oslo Torp 2 hours south and several toll tunnels away. Why was this hotel the top recommendation? Most of my activities were based South of Oslo, so I am facing 6x toll fees, paid a huge petrol bill, the added expense of car hire, plus unlike most English hotel rooms, there is no kettle! You can buy a cup of coffee for £1.50 15kr at reception. The hotel has a restaurant which is unusual for Norway we were told. £20 200kr for lasagne was shocking. They had run out of all pizzas on Friday night. Awful location aside, the hotel was clean and I had never seen such a huge choice for breakfast! Fish, meats, cheeses, cereal, yoghurts, breads, salad, fruit salad, juices, and cooked English style items were all available. It is all self service, with non intrusive staff. The shuttle bus runs before 5am and stops outside the main entrance. Hotel rooms which face this side have the noise of this and a view of McDonalds. Rooms to the rear are quieter with a more rural view.

The hotel was great. Free parking near the airport is what sold me. The staff were great the hotel puts on early breakfast for the people leaving before 6am, its simple but still a plus.

Basic hotel
Very basic hotel - says it is close to the airport but actually is not. You have to take a bus for about 15-20 minutes, and the public buses come every 30 minutes. Not ideal if you want to be very close to the airport for a flight.

Outstanding hotel
The hotel was wonderful, though there isn't much to do around the area, there is a McDonald's for eating, and the Esso gas station had a great selection of food and ice cream at a reasonable rate. The free breakfast at the hotel was outstanding and the people at the front desk were super helpful and very friendly. The shuttle runs like clock work and runs 70 NOK each way per person to the airport. I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Aiport Hotel
A great airport hotel option. Less than ten minutes to the airport by car, I also noticed that they have a bus go straight to the hotel. The room is a good size, nice bathroom, nothing to critique in that regard. They also include a buffet breakfast which starts super early for people catching a morning flight. Would definitely recommend.

Hotel in the Middle of Nowhere
My travel partner selected this hotel so that we could stay close to the airport since we had a short time in Oslo. Poor decision. LOCATION This hotel was about a 10 minute drive to the airport. That is a $6 bus ride, $8.50 shuttle ride, and $35 taxi ride. It's my thought that you stay at hotels that close to avoid such transportation charges. The hotel also was about a 30 minute drive from the city of Oslo, which you can also get to by train from the airport. Don't cut corners by staying at any hotel in the airport hotel park...waste of money! HOTEL Hotel staff members seemed a bit chilly in the personality department, but they weren't mean. Rooms were clean, but the bed wasn't comfortable. If you're looking for a nice view, stay away from this place. Best part about the hotel was the food. Breakfast was amazingly delicious the entire time I was there. My review of the hotel is mostly hanging on the location. It's just not worth it the amount of money you pay (which was a decent amount). If you want to stay close to the airport, then stay at one of the two hotels that are attached the airport. Avoid this area if at all possible!

Terrible front desk service
Arrived at midnight travel- weary. Clerk spent 15 minutes with non-customers while I waited (fully paid in advance). Directed outside to find my room. No rooms out there. On return, a flight attendant in the lobby directed me to where the rooms were inside. Once settled, no cup or glass in room, and no wifi code. I return to desk where the clerk found me a glass and gave me wifi code but said it sometimes didn't work. I also asked for a 6:15 wake up call. Well, it did NOT work! I had to call a friend in the States to wake me at 6 so I wouldn't miss my 8:30 flight. I got a wake up call at 2:15 am, then one at 6:15 after hearing from my friend first. The clerk always said, "You're welcome!" Never waiting for a thank you first. I will cancel my 4 bookings this month with this hotel and re-book with Radisson Blu by the airport. It may cost more, but I know the service will be strong. I am a writer researching all over Norway and do not like shoddy service.

Good for overnight before flight.
Hotel still 6-7 Km to airport. Hotel has shuttle to airport with 70 NOK fee paid in front door machine. It is good for rental car tourist to stay before flight. Hotel is clean, comfortable with good breakfast. Bath room with heated floor and very comfortable. There is a McDonald restaurant and a gas station in front of hotel. I had a rental car to return. I can full the tank and easy to return car from this hotel.
