Daughters 25th Birthday
We celebrated our daughters 25th birthday at Twin Cypress on False River. Emmett was a great host and readily available when needed. Beautiful house, great location, great views and great eats nearby. We ended our trip with a boat ride on the lake, loved by all. We will book again for sure. Thanks again Emmett.

Love this Lake House
Emmett was such a sweet owner to work with, gave us a recommendation of where to eat near by, Juerrus Restaurant, it was excellent food...Super nice staff! There is nothing like walking out of your bedroom in the morning to the wall of windows view of the lake, WOW! Very comfortable beds, seating, darling kitchen. Don't hesitate just book it. Thanks again Emmett, from all 4 couples in our group!

Great birthday getaway
We loved staying at the Lake House! It was BR perfect spot to celebrate my son’s birthday and a quick drive from Baton Rouge. Emmett was a great host and the laid back check-in and our instructions set the vibe for a relaxing vacation. We will definitely be back!

Everything was good except a few small things- no additional toilet paper in master bathroom and only a small amount to begin with. Also no coffee maker first day and no coffee and measuring cups to bake with. Numerous nails poking up on floors- very dangerous especially for my 2 grand babies who just started walking. A lil disappointed about third bathroom being outside too. Overall good stay though! Plenty room but kitchen needs a few more items to make it complete!

Peaceful Getaway
Gorgeous view - gorgeous home. What a great time we had here over the weekend. And the lake water is cold as my teens can attest! We played cards in front of these beautiful windows. The beds were comfortable. I am rambling but it was wonderful.

This place was awesome... clean and comfortable. All amenities we could ask for. Plenty of room. Weather was bad so we didnt get to use the outdoor space much but WILL be back in spring or summer. Thanks !

This is an awesome place on False River! The views are breathtaking. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. The owner even has a pontoon boat available for rent! We will definitely be back.

Superb Vacation Spot
Loved the home - it had plenty of room and was gorgeous. The glass front windows provided a fantastic view of the beautiful lake. We spent a ton of time on the sun deck, jumping into the deep water. No fear of touching a muddy bottom! We had a great place to store our pontoon boat as well. The covered patio area under the home provides some nice shade. We even caught several catfish off the dock. We LOVED it. Thanks, Emmet.

We had a wonderful time at this property. The location is great. If you have kids that like to tube or kneeboard, this is the place to go. They also enjoy jumping off the deck into the water and just float around. Couldn't have asked for a better time. Hope to return in the future

Our stay at The Twin Cypress was just perfect. It was so peaceful, the main living area with the huge windows was so beautiful & the living area underneath with the porch swing and dock was so relaxing. Emmett was great and thought of all the details to make it an excellent stay. We will be back!

We had a great time with family and friends over Mother’s Day weekend!
We spent the weekend catching up with family and friends, swimming and water skiing. Couldn’t have been more enjoyable! The property owner is wonderful and the house was very comfortable. We’ll definitely be back!

Friends Trip
This was a beautiful getaway for our friends trip, we were 4 couples. We were able to unplug and relax. I even caught a nice Bass :-). It was nice being able to do Laundry before checking out. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, utensil and dishes. We were surprised that the 3rd bathroom is located outside of the house under the deck (we assumed it was inside the house) it got pretty cold so we shared the inside bathrooms. Overall it was a good trip and a beautiful location.

Fishing hideaway
Nice property tucked away. Very peaceful and the house is well appointed and decorated. Open floor plan was good for family gathering. Owner is very nice, helpful and easy to reach. Easy to fish off the pier. It was an oasis from Baton Rouge, where we were visiting. Kitchen is well stocked, there are ample linens. Sunrise/sunset is beautiful from this view. Large TV with Netflix and plenty of couch made for good family wind down time. We are planning a return visit!

We have rented a couple properties on false river this summer and this one was probably the most disappointing. The great part about this property was the location. It is close to the main part of new roads which makes it easy to get supplies if needed. The main area was nicely decorated. Cons: 1. We searched this property for a laundry room, since under the amenities list, it stated it had a washer/dryer. That was definitely a lie. When you are there for 4 days with a bunch of kids , you need a washer dryer. The owner stated he didn’t put that in the description but it definitely is. He did come get clothes and washed them the first day, which was nice. 2. The owner was there a lot. He is a very nice guy, but I think it’s important to feel like it’s your place when you are renting. If everything was put together and accurate on the listing, there is no reason to just show up. 3. The floors are not stable and there is no installation between walls and the floors. The floors felt like you are walking on a wave. Also, don’t try and sleep if no one else is sleeping. If anyone stepped on the floors upstairs, it felt like they were coming through it. You could here everything. 4. The pier is not amazing by any means. It is not set up for people to swim. It is also very hard to park any boat other than a pontoon boat. The property itself was not terrible, but spending $325 a night is definitely not worth it. There is one that is a few piers down that is worth that price.

Wow I must say I'm pretty surprised this review. We were still waiting on our local dealer to install washer and dryer. It was not a lie it was simply an oversight. (washer and dryer was installed the following Tuesday) but during this time we offered same-day pick up and return for laundry. I am the owner and I can tell you that the only time I was there was to pick up your laundry and return it the same day. I can also tell you that the walls and ceilings are absolutely insulated. The upstairs has carpet also. But I'm sure the house full of kids running up and down the stairs and overhead you can hear noise. The camp is very open and airy. The floors aren't stable? I strongly disagree with. As far as securing your boat I showed the husband exactly where to tie it up. The previous boaters it's never had an issue. I'm very sorry you were disappointed and did not enjoy your stay. I can promise you we take any comments and suggestions very seriously and do everything we can to make everyone as happy and as comfortable as possible. Kindest regards and thank you for the review.

Incredible view!
If you’re looking for a beautiful lake house with a spectacular view this is your place. The camp is beautifully finished with charm to spare. There are plenty of beds and ample room for everyone. The dock is easily accessible by boat, cleats and bumpers keep your boat where you want it. The pier under the house is well lit and spacious for fishing or barbecuing. The overall experience was wonderful. Emmett is a gracious host and made himself available for any questions or needs that arose. 5 stars all around.
