Staying here was a magical experience, absolute first class service.
Favourite hotel of our stay in Japan.
Great room, great staff.
Only issue we had is the hard beds, we aren’t used to them and hence got a bit of back ache from sleeping on them.
Other than that perfect stay.
Gorgeous view of the river from room. Area is well separated from the bustle of the city, so area is nice and quiet. Would have preferred for an option to pay for all drinks and snacks besides the complimentary water upfront.

A very quiet location with free shuttle to the train station.
In general Japanese staff are always extremely professional. The biggest issue we have with this hotel is that its gym facilities open only to club members and hotel guests have to pay a high price (almost the same as a one evening stay in the hotel) in order to go.
This really is a bumper and it makes us feel less welcoming in this hotel.
We highly recommend as hospitality was outstanding! Everyone gave us a warm welcome and were very helpful in giving us information about sightseeing. They made us feel more than welcome and it was great fun talking to the entire staff. The accommodations were excellent, with lots of amenities. Nice turn down service. The room had a great view of Osaka and convenient to the river walk.
Japan is an exceptional country. Cleanliness and courtesy are part of the culture. The Imperial magnifies these qualities. Osaka Castle is a thirty minute walk away. Walking along the riverfront is also a delight. There is an outdoor open air shopping arcade 10 minutes walk away, and walking to the main train station, where there is amazing shopping, is about 30 minutes. From there the whole of Japan is accessible on a remarkable train network. Nara is about an hour away. The room was spacious and meticulously serviced each day. There is a free hotel shuttle to the main station as well.
The hotel was very nice with lots of positives; the room was clean and comfortable, the location was convenient with the free shuttle to and from Osaka station and the food was excellent. What truly made the hotel stand out though was the staff. They gave me a very warm welcome and were incredibly friendly throughout my stay. I could not say enough good words about them.
Incredible property. Solid breakfast and it is 4,000 yen in person so definitely add it before, it is high quality and worth it (I paid separately, much to my chagrin). Beautiful property. Amazing, friendly staff. Amazing flute and live music in the lobby. True 5 star professional hotel amazing experience.
Having stayed at many hotels, I was thoroughly impressed with how wonderful this hotel is. Our view of the river was spectacular when waking up. It was tough to leave because I felt so well cared for by each staff member. I would stay here again when I come back to Osaka
Guest room mattresses needs attention. Charge for spa is not acceptable , since all four star property there is no charge. Guest service agent needs authority to makes decisions
Ideally situated on river with a short walk to Osaka Castle and convenient to Osaka Kids Plaza
However it wasn't until after we booked that hotel stated pool is only for 20 years and older so not truly family friend. Without coupon, the breakfast buffet is very expensive
Very clean elegant rooms with beautiful views of the city and river. Frequent shuttle to shopping center and downtown. Excellent service and staff. I would definitely stay here on our return.

I enjoyed my stay at the imperial hotel. Staff were very friendly. Rooms were clean.
The only two issues were the location is far away from everything. And the outrageous $50 USD fee to use the swimming pool per person per each time.
I booked 2 rooms for 3 night's. Costed me $4,000 USD. You'd think simple amenity like a pool would be included.
I would not stay there again
Hotel staff where excellent, but breakfast room service not so much; the American breakfast was served with broccoli, 3 1.5 inch sausages toast etc, the asia breakfast was much better and bigger
I thought that the hotel was very nice and it was my first 5 star hotel experience. The staff were extremely polite and helpful and were able to communicate in English. I am only giving it a three star because every one of their amenities costed extra. You weren’t allowed to use the gym, have breakfast or anything without having to pay more. To me paying the premium price for the stay should come with some perks. Just to do one load of laundry would have costed me around $30 due to the fact they charge for every item instead of per load. The hotel was right off a river with gorgeous views and had many restaurants attached to it.
Best hotel I’ve ever stayed at, especially if you consider the price to performance metric. Staff were incredible, thoughtful, and assisted us every step of the way, and while they didn’t all speak the same language, they made sure our needs were met no matter what.
