Relaxing retreat
A wonderful place to kick back and sew up a storm for a week. Without YouTube I got an amazing amount accomplished, and still had time to walk the Opunake trail, visit the beach and frequent the fantastic local cafes. Definitely recommend.

Top Notch Place!
This place was an absolute delight to stay at. Amazing house, had all the bells and whistles, and the gas fireplace was to die for! Really comfy, the kitchen had everything you need, great privacy, amazing stay overall. Would definitely come and stay here again.

2 nights for a Wedding with our 8 month old + friends
This is a lovely little bach - homely and very clean and tidy with everything you need on a quiet street. There is a bunk room for kids, with toys and books, and two comfortable double rooms for adults. It has a great deck with a BBQ and a fenced back yard that is great for kids to play in. It is a 5 minute walk to both the beach and shops, so ideally located. Easy communication with host and accommodating of last minute changes as to how many people were staying. Would happily come back or recommend to others. Opunake is a cool little town!

Lovely beach holiday
We love the bach! We had a great family holiday. The bach is well set up for families with easy access to beach and shops, bbq, and plenty of rainy day activities. The house is comfortable and has everything you need. We like having no wifi so we can disconnect and totally unwind. Max and Angela are great communicators and make things easy.

Quaint property in great location
Comfortable little house handy to the beach and town, interesting layout, removal of the bath in favour of a second toilet would be an improvement. The sunny deck is great and access to the garden crops in sesson is very generous. Would stay again but not in the bunks!

Perfect Bach in Opunake
This bach has a great set up and layout for relaxing and going away with family. A lovely eating area, with seating built in around the windows and a large dining table for eating and hanging out, and with great sunsets in the evening as it faces west, french doors onto a large deck with table and benches, then a very comfortable cosy sitting room for cool evenings. It just has a lovely, friendly atmosphere and a very easy and relaxing place to stay, in a great location near to the beach. Angela is an excellent host, made it all easy, and an accomplished artist with her paintings on the wall, giving the bach a more personal feel. Would love to go back.

Really enjoyed staying at this property! Excellent location, super clean and tidy and really well stocked up on everything from books and games, to blankets, pillows, towels etc. Fully fenced section was great for my kids. Can’t fault it at all. Look forward to returning soon!

Such a magic spot!
We had the best time at this gorgeous little Bach. Angela was an absolute dream to deal with; she went above and beyond for our stay. The house itself is the perfect little getaway; close to everything you could possibly need. You walk out of the gate and have a perfect view of snow capped mountains one way, and the ocean the other. Very well set up, especially for the kids with heaps of toys and DVDS for a rainy day. Fully fenced - it feels very safe to let the kids run around. Two playgrounds very close by, a short walk to the beach - you never run out of things to do. We really loved the visits from the neighbourhood ginger cat. Don’t hesitate in booking this place. You wont be disappointed!

I visited with my daughter and grandchildren. Excellent location, great that the kids could play outside and be secure, there is even a good range of toys for them to play with. Short stroll to the beach and shops. The bach had everything we needed (and more). Definitely recommend. The hosts were easy to deal with.

Comfortable accommodation, great location. Weathered storm and earthquake in February unscathed. So lovely to be able to walk to beach, shops etc. and access Opunake Loop Walk. Still happy to return after several visits. Thank you.

Our 5th stay at the bach. Unlucky with the weather, but luckily the house has so much to keep you entertained if it's raining! We took advantage of the dvds, kids toys, books and games, and the fireplace. We love staying here. Great, easy communication with Angela, it's always a pleasure.

Opunake beach vibes
We had a fantastic longer stay at this property. Fireplace and electric blankets kept everyone warm and very comfortable even at end of winter. Can’t beat the proximity to the beach and playground. Loved the lemon tree in the backyard and the charm of Opunake’s Main Street just a block away. Such a great little community to spend some time in :) Bach is very well equipped for families, has a good cooking and entertaining space for a bigger group. Communication with owners was easy and they were very kind in handling our booking which they were quite flexible when they certainly did not have to be.

Lovely stay great location, and everything you needed was there, enjoyed a lovely soak in bath, but only thing is a bath plug with chain wud have been gud had to use a fork to get bath plug out, to drain plug 😞 Other then that it was great gud communication, bach was lovely all up child friendly, thankyou for the lovely stay ❤
