Country B&B
This was our first experience at a B&B and it did not disappoint! Donna and Cindy were so welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast was 5-Stars!! Every day was made to order breakfast with special menus on the weekend. The croissants were so warm and fluffy it was as if they made them from scratch everyday! We were staying there for Oktoberfest and the location couldn’t have been better. Close enough to drive to but far away enough to enjoy peaceful fire pit nights under the stars. We also love the country and being surrounded by animals was even better! If you’re looking for a unique experience at a farm, this is the place to stay! You won’t be disappointed.

A night at the farm
It was wonderful and unique to stay at the farmhouse, got a tour and observe daily routine of the farm, learned lots of things I didn’t know. The owner is very warm and friendly and breakfast was delicious. Our family truly enjoyed it and would love to be back someday. Couple things to improve: doors to be adjusted as very hard to open/close and they squeak

An incredible one-of-kind stay at Rainbow Ridge Farms. There are tons of goats, chickens, pigs that you can interact with at your pleasure. Friendly dogs & cats as well. Donna is super friendly and kind and the homemade farm breakfast was phenomenal. The Yellow room was cozy and comfy and had a beautiful view of the back pond area. This place has everything you need for a truly unique experience. They even have goat Yoga but we missed it by a day. I'll definitely have to return to this mystique place. Lastly, their landscaping was impeccable and the hydrangeas were bursting. I wouldn't understand how anyone could give this place anything under a 10.

I came in from out of state and called to ask how late I could check in. The owner told me it was fine to come later. I called again and spoke to same person. She assured me if I was there before 10 that would be great. I arrived at 9:40 pm. The woman who was there (never introduced herself to me) told me there were no rooms and she never heard of me. I pulled up my confirmation email from Rainbow Ridge Farms with my information showing they took my reservation and deposit over a month ago. This woman was in no way apologetic, helpful or professional. I told her I expected a refund of my deposit and she said, "yes". I'm not confident that will happen. She didn't even get up off the couch when I left. The one thing she did say to me was ?"I'm not good at computers" I can't begin to say how frustrating this was. I had to get a hotel room late at night and pay a ridiculous price because it was the weekend and not booked in advance. It also dampened the plans we made for my grandkids to come to the farm Saturday and visit. In addition, I called the owner and left a vm explaining what happened and requested a call back. As of Sunday afternoon I haven't received a response. Incredibly disappointed with their system, apparent lack of communication between staff and the lack of customer service and empathy over an error created by them.

An unusual and enjoyable stay
It was different to our usual choice of accommodation. As it was a working farm there were lots animals around. We were made very welcome, we had a good nights and the breakfast was great. We would definately stay there again.

Nice location and slept well. Breakfast was not what I have experienced at other B & Bs I have stayed. Need to step it up snd add more options and use range eggs in omelets, scrambled and dish’s.

Exactly what I needed
I booked a last minute 3 night stay to rest after a health procedure and just read, walk, be in nature. I had a mini emergency the morning I was supposed to leave, hence was late and also got a little lost... and the hosts were super accommodating and understanding -and even drove out to find me and escort me in! The farm itself and area is very pretty and charming. Most of all for my needs, it was super quiet, I read alot of books, etc.. and the animals are adorable!!

This is a wonderful place to visit. It is a working goat farm with other animals as well, and the women who operate it are very welcoming and are wonderful cooks.

Thank you for your review. I totally agree with you about the clutter, but in the middle of kidding season it does get a bit cluttered. Fortunately, that is almost done and we have a bunch of healthy and happy baby goats in the Kid Crib! We look forward to seeing you again!

Cindy and Donna were excellent hosts. We got up close and personal with the farm animals. We were given fun facts about the farm and the surrounding area. The Inn was full so engaging with the other guests was so pleasant. Our room overlooked the duck pond. It was quiet and I received the best night’s sleep in ages. My teenaged daughter loved it, too. Will go back!!

Birthday weekend get away
We had a wonderful stay at the Rainbow Ridge Bed & Breakfast. The hosts were friendly and kind, our room was charming, and owners encouraged us to take a hike with the goats! Breakfast was delicious. Would defiantly recommend if you are in need of a quiet and relaxing stay.

A night on the Farm.
If you understand that this is a Agri-Tourism facility you will be delighted. Expect it to be like living in a (very nice) farmhome. The host is very informative & engaging, the animals are really spectacularly charming & entertaining. Highly recommended for children if you want them to learn about where their food comes from and how animals live. They can get as involved (or not) as they wish.

Thank you, Byron! Yes, we are a working hobby farm and we love to share our farm with our guests. Adults can get as involved as they wish also. The hike to the 'Monkey Tree' is an awesome experience for everyone!

Relaxing time in rural setting
We love to stay here because the people you meet around the breakfast table are so interesting; the hosts are, too - and it's great to have home-cooked blueberry pancakes for breakfast. The rooms are quaint and quirky, and the farm setting with all the animals is unique. It feels great to support our hosts environmental and educational endeavors by enjoying a stay in their great home. No crowds, no highway noise, just crickets chirping and animals doing what they do.

GOAT FARM A GO.
Unusual at a goat farm. BUT, very nice ladies run and own it. Cindy and Donna were very nice hosts. The goat farm is large and the goats friendly. Chickens and cats everywhere, as it is a working farm. Clean and comfy inside the guest house. No TV was only missing item I would have wanted for our area of the house. All else was good and well done for guests.

Rainbow Ridge Farms was a fun place to stay. The hosts were very welcoming, breakfast was delicious, and it was a nice change from chain hotels. Kids would especially love all the animals. The accommodations are basic B&B, very homey. We really enjoyed our stay.

Overall we had a nice stay at the B&B. Donna and Cindy are wonderful people and very personable. One thing we should have inquired about is the air conditioning situation, as it was a muggy night and was a bit difficult to sleep with just a fan. Tasty breakfast with on site honey, I just wish Wisconsin law would have let us taste the goat milk and goat cheese :(

Wonderful Christmas breakfast
We were staying at The Rainbow Ridge Bed and Breakfast (instead of a motel) in order to have Christmas breakfast together with other guests. (Our family was celebrating Christmas Eve the night before and was full up with kids home for the holidays). When we found we were the only guests at the B and B we were so disappointed, and after a few minutes our gracious hosts invited our family to join us for breakfast instead, and they prepared a wonderful Christmas breakfast for us all to share together. Not only were our hosts wonderful but the bed-and-breakfast and all the surroundings were all wonderful too.

Spent just one night at this bed & breakfast on the last leg of a trip with my husband. The innkeepers were very welcoming and congenial. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast for all the guests was served on the farmhouse dining table and was large, with fresh baked muffins and cooked-to-order eggs among the offerings. The farm setting was charming, the goats very friendly and adorable, and the stay very enjoyable. Wish I could have stayed another night to enjoy the farm a bit more!

Beautiful farm but....
Great people but lack in two key areas for a bed and breakfast. Breakfast was sub par and living areas not very clean. Was very disappointed in breakfast;eggs and a continental breakfast sausage patty. It was too bad because farm was beautiful.

Quiet spot in the country - but close to town
Since we arrived later than planned we didn't spend as much time as we would have liked at the B&B. The innkeepers are very friendly and welcoming, and the setting is lovely. It was fun to see the various breeds of goat and the birds and cats that wander the grounds. Kids would love it. Our bedroom was on the second floor and was furnished with very nice Amish-made furniture. Needless to say, it was quiet, and we slept well on the comfortable mattress. Breakfast featured delicious scones and fresh eggs from the farm. We'd love to go back to stay longer and bike on one of the nearby trails.

The Hidden Gem!
I think that the title of this review speaks for itself. However, I just have to say that this is the BEST place I have ever stayed. The entire experience was beyond what I expected. The house is fantastic, the room was a place I never want to leave, and Donna and Cindy made me feel like I was part of their family. Now go outside....It was like a movie. As I sat on the back porch in the pitch dark, fireflies lit the pond and landed on my hand just long enough for me to get a good look at their magic. I bottle fed Dude the baby goat, watched a mother duck tend to her babies that were born while I slept, collected eggs for the wonderful breakfast Donna so graciously cooked each morning, and relaxed with the sound of frogs, crickets, and cicadas. It was a dream come true. I am so blessed to have had such a peaceful and relaxing experience, and I feel extremely fortunate to have received such a phenomenal education from the ever so patient and passionate, Donna. Their commitment to education and children is something that should be emulated around the country. Thank you to the most wonderful two people I have had the pleasure of meeting. I cried when I had to leave, and I cannot wait to come back. Do not pass up this wonderful opportunity to stay at Rainbow Ridge.

Get away from the city...
This is a wonderful farm that truly believes in 4-H and the values of caring for animals, land and people. I love that they offer children the opportunity to show off the Rainbow Ridge Farm goats at the local fair and let them keep the winning ribbons. What a great confidence booster for the kids! The only negative thing to say about our stay was the comfort of the bed. We both fell directly to the middle. The room was very clean, breakfast was lovely and our visit with them and the other guests was very pleasant and quiet.

Very unique stay
Very quiet and pleasant stay. This a working goat farm with lots of other animals as well. A great place to stay with kids. The hostesses couldn't have been nicer. Wonderful breakfast and just a restful place. Beautiful country setting, and a short drive into Lacrosse area.
