The hotel is the only one located within the city walls and it did not disappoint. We were given an upgrade because it was quiet and had a choice of superior or executive suite. Both rooms were simply decorated, but clean and comfortable.
The restaurant provided an extensive menu for breakfast - though it was served rather than a buffet. Not that this was a problem.
We were overwhelmed with helpfulness and kindness of the staff. We would certainly use this hotel again
We were due to stay at Vicelic Guest House. When we arrived the owner told us he had double booked our room so offered us another one opposite which was free of charge. The new place was very modern and clean. Also the apartment is in a great location to explore the old town

The building comprised of two apartments. I stayed in the bottom floor. The whole apartment was super clean and had all that you needed for a comfortable stay. The location couldnt be better. It was only a 3 minute walk from Pile gate, 1 minute walk from the new harbor and truly in the middle of old town. The location is so much better than the Hilton's and for much cheaper. The decor is old school but it added to the charm of the place. Also if you're visiting Dubrovnik you're not there to be hauled inside and apt. There were no city steps you needed to walk up which makes visiting with heavy luggage a dream. Nerio, the owner met me on the main street and walked me to the Apt as i was having trouble finding it because it was dark at that point. Although in hindsight it was my bad map reading skills because the place was so close! Nerio was very friendly and took the time to show me on the map where everything was. The house belonged to his grandmother which added to the connection he had to the town and the apt. My entire visit in Dubrovnik was absolutely lovely. I didnt know where to go first because there was soooo much to do and all within close proximity to the apt. If i ever get the opportunity to visit again, i would stay at Nerio's again.
Wonderful apartment in a great setting, right in the heart of the Old Town and minutes away from cafes and restaurants . Old on the outside but very modern and well equiped inside with a great wooden spiral staircase. This suited us as a family of four. A special mention to our host who met us with a lovely welcome depite the fact that we were a little late.
