Two forts at theentrance to the port have stood guard since the 12th century and the age ofFrench Kings. The nearby bus interchange provides access to the southernbeaches and parks while tourist boats depart daily to explore the limestonecliffs of the Calanques National Park. Otherwise, walk the Canabière, a robustthoroughfare next to the Port, which features art galleries, boutique shops andlavish theatres.
