"Room was clean upon our arrival. The staff was very helpful, and the hot tub as well as the pool was clean and wonderful to relax in. The view from the beach was great. Short driving ditto the pier at old orchard beach with plenty of parking facilities at the old orchard beach, for very reasonable prices."
Friendship Oceanfront Suites

"I would recommend the Friendship Oceanfront Suites to everyone. Polite and courteous staff, the owners are on hand every day. They welcome you with a smile and ask you to let them know if you need anything. In the reception area there is a wonderful coffee/tea selection, a hot/cold water fountain, along with pastries There is also a bowl of different chocolates or candy on the counter, that I am sure the staff hated to see me coming everyday. The rooms are very clean, they have been renovated. They have A/C or heat, king size beds, pull out couches in the living room section, the kitchen has a fridge with a freezer and a microwave, a table with two chairs, coffee maker. TV in the kitchen/living room area and another in the bedroom. The views are amazing of the beach. Miles of hard packed sand to walk on. The pool is clean, with lots of fresh towels and seating, tables with parasols. There is an outdoor shower by the pool to rinse off before bathing or just to splash yourself when you're too hot but down want to dip in the pool. Coming off the beach there is a water hose to wash all the sand off yourself, so you don't bring it on the property with you. Very well thought out. There is ample parking for every guest. I absolutely love this place and everyone working there. Once again, I highly recommend."
The Inn at SOHO Square

"All around a pleasant stay, once you navigate the check in adventure. Check in at Royal Manor. Soho is a hundred miles South. Soho bar across the street is cool for a nightcap. Get Lolita to make you a double Tanqueray and tonic with EXTRA limes. Tip heavily... you won't regret it. Beware of touristas with jealous mates."

"What a lovely property! It was so quaint and quiet for an Inn. The property was very clean, plenty of hot water, an excellent breakfast with both hot and cold items, all staff were very pleasant and had ample smiles. They kept the old-school decor of an inn. It truly was lovely…also walkable to downtown Old Orchard Beach and the Pier. I already have a reservation for this property for later this summer. I am looking forward to it."

"Stains on pillows and sheets, outlets didn't work, a coat of paint would help out tremendously. The staff was very friendly and kind. Cleaners of the room kept up with towels very well. Staff was great!"
Waves Oceanfront Resort

"I would have given this two stars if it wasn’t for the location. The front desk staff is nice. I booked an ocean “front” room which based off of the photos should have been what it says. Instead we had ocean “view” but were right up above the pool which could be noisy and not private. Our first day we asked for more towels and no one ever brought any. Left our maid service sign out both days, no one came to clean. Second day someone left some towels in the room but that’s it. Our deadbolt lock was broken which is a huge safety issue for me and having two children. Our sliding door was broken and didn’t close all the way. Very, very outdated property. Close to train tracks so you hear the train every few hours and over night. The location itself is great it is a walk to everywhere and right on the beach. They did credit us 20% for not being the room we had thought we were getting which was nice. The beach access is right there. I did also like the shallow part in the pool for my little ones that just want to play in the water but can’t swim yet. But the rest of it makes me say I would not stay here again. Needs some serious updating and maid service to come."
