My check-in was more of an "intake" than a "reception". It was more warning than welcome. They seemed to want to let me know that I'd be charged for stealing the bed linens or damaging the room (I don't think I look like I'd be doing those things). The clerk wasn't quite rude, but certainly was not friendly or hospitable. The property is not quite clean and not quite well maintained. The room was OK (I don't expect too much from Microtel), but the main impression was the lack of any hospitable attitude in this hospitality business. When I came to the charge for taxes that is cared for by the motel, she stated this was an additional fee being charged since I had booked through a third party. (Expedia). As I said the room was OK and comfortable enough, but it was a weird experience otherwise.

I am sorry to hear that our staff was not as welcoming as we explain to them during our training. We will discuss this with them prior to their next shift. The fees collected at the property are part of the overall reservation cost, however they are collected here. Better wording in this description is expected by the staff at check-in. We will work hard to complete maintenance tasks that are needed, and deep cleaning where it is needed.

The 1st room they gave us looked straight out of 1985. The carpets looked like someone was murdered there. The air conditioning didn't work, the tv didnt work and the barhroom was was deteriorating. The 2nd room the gave us was much improved, due to renovations, but it was noisy. All night we could hear hwy noise, dogs barking, and people noise from the hallway.

Very hard to find. Further, they charge you on site an additional surcharge for using a 3rd party reservation service of $14.95. Further, I had to contact them to request a receipt as they charged my card but provided no verification for the payment. This type of surcharge needs to be clear at the time of decision-making.

It was cheap so I got what I paid for. It looked nice outside but the room 118 was disgusting. The floors had not been mopped ever it seems like. After my shower I walked to the bed and my feet were sticky and black already I had to wear shoes in the room. The walls had liquid spilled and running down them by the door and base boards were filthy. It really looks like they only change sheet and the tubs then move on to the next room. Again it was a cheap room. But a/c worked, tv worked and the staff was friendly minus not helping me to help another guest who just walked up who wasn’t waiting as long as me. The biggest complaint was the noisey people above who didn’t realize galloping at midnight is not acceptable. Otherwise it was a good $100 compared to $300 across the road.

Property looks ran down and every floor smells like smoke even when it’s no smoking allowed. Front desk staff is rude and I was placed in the wrong room. Carpet is torn up and the water just gets warm.

The coffee machine in the lobby was broken, and they had only decaf for the rooms. The place is old and dirty and they collected $14 extra over the pre-paid expedia amount—for what?

We are sorry that the county was doing work on the water main in the area, which caused the surrounding area to be on a boil water notice. This prevented us from being able to provide our normal drink service. We do apologize for the inconvenience. The 14.95 fees collected at the property are listed through Expedia when booking, but we understand the confusion when showing it. We hope to have an opportunity to provide a higher quality stay in the future. Thank you for your feedback.

I didn’t like the fact that the room was not that clean. There where used face clothes on the shower pole. Baseboards in washroom dirty with hair on it. I really wasn’t impressed for 160$.

Even tho every other room had dogs barking, music blasting, and people yelling the manager came to our door at 2pm and said the kids and dogs were too loud lmao. We had kept the kids quiet watching tv for hours and the dogs had barked once when a random dog jumped at the window. I’ve never seen such creepy people in my life as I saw there during our stay. It was clean enough I guess but still not a fun stay.

When we got into the room and try to use the restroom the toilet overflow. Then call the front she said she couldn’t do anything because they was full and there wasn’t a maintenance man on duty. Then she gave my husband some towels to dry the floor up, she didn’t come up to see what was going on or nothing she didn’t even check on us anymore that day or night we had to stay in that room because we couldn’t go home because to far away from home. The next morning they said they left a note saying to give us our money back.
