"We loved our stay at this pension! A prime location and Sabbas happily took us around wherever we needed to go. The breakfast is simple but the dinners are delicious! A great place to really get involved in the local community! Stay here to be close to the bay and Tu Hiva. The mornings the fishermen are out, go to the dock and you’ll be able to see so many sharks being fed! Amazing!"

"I submitted an email one day before my stay to confirm my airport transfer to Le Vely Lodge. A woman who referred to herself as "Regina" responded and stated that I was staying at Mave Mai Lodge. Once I arrived there I was asked to be tranferred to a far away Air B&B named something "Mountain House". It was far away from the village center, unhygienic and riddled with hundreds of flies. "The people at the pension were very kind. Great location and views. Simple, but clean and the Wifi worked well. There was a nice breakfast each morning from the patio with a lovely view of the bay. It is just 2 "blocks" up the hill from the main road where you can walk to the few sites, restaurants/roulottes, and stores in the town. The very farthest side of the bay is about 20 mins walking.
