Our trip to Norfolk was to visit the shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham on the August Bank Holiday weekend, Aug 23-25th. All hotels closer to the village were fully booked, so we chose the Mercure hotel. The location was simply perfect for us with Asda supermarket just across the road. Breakfast was excellent. The only draw back was that since it was a hot weekend the air conditioning was blowing warm air.so we had to leave our window open in the night. There is ample amount of parking space too. Good gym and swimming pool. I recommend this hotel for a short or longer stay.
So pleased we found this lovely guesthouse, we were made to feel very welcome especially as we needed to book in earlier due to attending a music festival nearby. Room spacious and very clean, lovely breakfast area and the breakfast itself was excellent. Quiet even though on the main road and great location, will certainly use again.

Lovely facilities, stayed there with my sister and her husband and we had a lovely sitting room off both rooms. The rooms were tastefully decorated and the whole place had character. The breakfast was very good and it was very conveniently situated on the road in to Norwich. We were made to feel very welcome.
Wonderful 5 course meal with wine for £49...... really tasty, and wine selection was a nice choice as well - would recommend everybody try it, Staff - were really polite and helpful and knowledgable as well.
Room was comfortable and warm with a lovely bath.
