Driving up to the facilities was breathtaking. Walking into the hotel was like walking into a Ralph Lauren catalogue. The rooms were beautiful. I was a little disappointed in the cleanliness if the bedding area but the rest of the room was well taken care of.

"Nice hotel close to the Eisenhower metro station."
Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. This hotel was conveniently located next to the Eisenhower metro station. It was a short walk to the metro station. The hotel was very clean and staff were friendly and helpful. They have ample parking that is free. Rooms are priced very reasonably.

Place was very easy to find, very clean and warm. Room was nice and a great size. Great for a weekend getaway. Bedroom was beautiful and bed linens were great. The breakfast room is
large and very comfortable and offers a great variety of continental breakfast fare. Did not get to
try out the pool but it is quite large. There is also a picnic area with available bbq's, very nice.

We got an amazing Expedia sell! The rooms was more than we expected for the price. Comfy beds, two sinks, small refrigerator with a small freezer and to our surprise our rooms had a balcony overlooking the very large swimming pool. The next morning the complimentary breakfast was our choice of a meal off the menu at restaurant connected to the hotel. We tried 3 different breakfast. The veggi omelet, Belgium waffle with sausage, and fresh fruit and yogurt meals were delicious and service was very good. All the staff could not have been nicer and were so helpful and proud of their hotel. Wish we could have stayed longer.

"Nice non-chain fairly-priced hotel close to D.C."
I have stayed at this hotel 3 times, and each time has been a pleasure. Nice alternative to chain hotels, but for the same or better price. Good eateries within walking distance. Panera Bread across the street for a nice breakfast option.

"Absolutely the BEST!!!! From check-in to check-out"
Front desk clerk,Jessie welcomed us like we were family in his home, and treated as such! The week prior we spent in one of "the chain motels",and it's was barely tolerable. The rooms were as clean and comfortable as my own house, and my wife cleans homes for a living; so needless to say we were impressed. They're service staff was nothing short of a 5 star hotel, like the Ritz-Carlton!!! And the adjoining restaurant,Bentley's was one of the finest places to eat,and affordable; that we have found anywhere in the DC area. Looking forward to the next work project in the area, just so we can stay at the Governor'sHouse again.

We booked in for a night travelling along the Skyline Drive with two kids. There were some nice walks starting from the lodge with deer walking all around. Our room was basic, but comfortable. We were very worried about dinner as the only option is the restaurant at the lodge, anywhere near. There are some very damning reviews on Tripadvisor. We didn't need to worry however. We did choose the straightforward chicken option but there was no fault with it. Similarly, breakfast was very nice. The hall in the lodge was great, too with rocking chairs looking out on the forest, games, etc.
