there’s too much hair on the floor room 521. I was so tired driving from New Hampshire to the place. there was a lady cleaning on the other room I was asking for her help to open the door, i was trying to explain my problem she instead covered her ears😏 but open the door for me.

Also, it's unfortunate you encountered a communication gap with a team member while seeking assistance, especially after a long drive. We encourage open dialogues between our guests and our team members, and it's concerning to hear that wasn't reflected during your stay with us. Rest assured, we are addressing these points with the respective teams to prevent any such repeats in the future. Comfiest hotel bed ever!! Restaurant on premises is convenient but definitely comes with a price tag for the quality. Good for a pinch.

Pre-pandemic, I stayed at this property and the service was good and the rooms were updated. In the interim, it was clear that the service had slipped (unable to print a receipt), unable to answer basic questions about the area, and the bar was not available. A complaint to the hotel manager went unanswered. In short, there are other options in the area that offer better value.

This my second stay at the hotel--just myself for business purposes. Location is great, hotel has just what is needed. Warning - booked through Expedia twice and the second time the hotel didn't have my reservation. They accommodated me quickly but noted that sometimes 3rd party reservations have issues in their system.

This hotel was in a great location but could use some updating. Also the window had blinds that did not close. I called to ask about it and was put on hold. After 5 min. on hold I hung up and the staff never returned my call.

Front desk reception was consistently poor, conditions of rooms were poor. First room had a toilet that was noisy and didn’t stop running. After moving to a new room the 2nd rooms bathroom was dirty including toilet, sink and shower. I was brought wipes to clean. Rug had not been vacuumed in a while and room was dusty and grimy looking.

We came up for our 3 years anniversary. The hotel is located perfectly for all your walking. Now be prepared to pay facility fee 34.76 each day for “amenities” like WiFi and bottle water, parking 60 and a 200.00 hold. We only parked one day and then parked over at PMI parking less than half the cost less than a 3 min walk around the corner from the hotel which we found the next day and we just walked or had fun on the scooter rides. The room was clean, separated to the side was refrigerator, kitchenette, microwave, dishwasher a cute table by the window - which they aren’t blacked out from the outside LOL - overall a 3 due to the fees and hold that no one tells you about until you arrive! And the bar and restaurant was closed the entire time we were there except for the 1st night we arrived- so what amenities am I actually paying for? I ordered a Moscow mule and it was bad bad we didn’t ordered food. For food we went to the hotel across the street - you will not be disappointed and it’s wallet friendly!

The hotel was right smack dab in the middle of downtown where you can go to the White House every good place for tourists to see the hotel was clean. The rooms were clean. The service was very good. I highly recommend it and also it was very easy to get to all the restaurants.

Bad bedding but good stay
The only two complaints I have is the sheets and comforters were extremely rough and left a rash on me. It felt as if I was sleeping on grass. Also the room had no mini fridge so plan accordingly. Everything else was great!

This hotel is in a great location but it is in desperate need of a remodel. Paint is peeling, finishes in the bathrooms are loose, and it’s just generally run down. They do have great coffee in the rooms. It’s also very noisy.

Hotel was decent for the price, compared to surrounding options. Right in the middle of all the Embassys. Lots of sirens though but not too noisy inside the hotel. Plenty of dining options nearby within walking distance.

This hotel was in a great location for walking to everything and restaurants, really nice staff and overall nice. The only thing keeping it from a 5 star were a few quirks with our specific room, 323, which had a few quirks; there was a Living room with a sofa and spot for a TV but no TV, and then the actual TV was in the bedroom closet. Also in the bathroom the arrangement of the toilet paper to the toilet was pretty awkward. The shower curtain holder was also loose so the shower curtain did not keep water in well. Overall it was a really nice hotel in a great location and the staff was really friendly and great, just the few quirks are why I rated it a 4 instead of a 5.

Unfortunately the photos of this property do not correlate with to its actual conditions. It is a much older hotel obviously, but it looks as though no updates have ever been done to this facility what so ever. Half of the plug outlets in the room didn't work, the wall paper was peeling off this walls, the bottom of the bathroom door frame was breaking down due to rust. The rooms were extremely small as well. We requested to upgrade to a bigger room in which they wanted to charge us an extra $400 a night, they also charge a resort fee which I don't understand why with the condition that this hotel is in. I was very unimpressed with this facility and will not return.

Average hotel with great location. Walkable distance to Smithsonian museums, White House, Capitol and Mall. Rooms are clean but old hotel showing its signs.Additional charges, such as resort fees, is not justified.

Jayce, the front desk clerk was amazing, super friendly and helpful. Maria the housekeeper was very accommodating. The property has seen better days. It is not accessible! The outside sidewalks are very dangerous due to uneven paving. I couldn’t find the entrance to the restaurant next store, all doors were locked but there were customers inside. Property was old, very musty and outdated. No worth the price.

This was the second time I’ve stayed here. In an over priced DC hotel market the Beacon is a good choice for moderate priced hotel. My room was spacious, clean, the staff was super friendly and it’s in a good walkable location.
