Hi Lee thank you for taking the time to leave us some feedback. Unfortunately, without the kitchen extraction system being fully functional, we had no alternative than to close the kitchen whilst we sourced a new one and have it fitted. We don’t normally allow food to be brought in from elsewhere but as it was an exceptional circumstance we did say you could. Normal service has resumed. Once again we’re really sorry this affected your stay with us so badly.

Hi Helen - thank you for taking the time to leave us a terrible review! I've just found your email in the Junk file threatening us with a bad review if we didn't refund some of your money, unfortunately you didn't give us chance to reply or offer a refund! Firstly you requested a room on the ground floor, I assumed mobility problems and advised you that all our rooms are on the first floor and there isn't a lift. At this point you could have cancelled your booking completely free of charge, had you mentioned your equipment we could have offered storage overnight as we do for cyclists, however you chose not to respond at all and didn't even acknowledge my reply. Our small carpark that has limited spaces is clearly mentioned in our bio and referred to in many of our guest reviews, being right in the town centre we are grateful for all our parking spaces and the free overnight spaces a short walk away, we have no way of changing the space available for parking, it is what it is. We spend a lot of time shuffling and juggling cars to get everyone parked, although its obviously not 100% guaranteed, but we do try. At check in you never mentioned you were playing a gig in another town and didn't want to leave your equipment in the car over night, tbh I wouldn't fancy lugging it up to the first floor either! As you say in your email maybe you should read accommodation descriptions properly in future and choose a Premier Inn or similar rather than blame someone else. Its a shame you gave us TERRIBLE review without staying here, as you can see by other reviews people actually like staying here and we have lots of repeat visitors. We are a public house in the town centre, our letting rooms are above the pub and we have a small car park. We have karaoke/music most weekends and have over 12 big screens inside and out to show sport. We also serve really good pub grub at reasonable prices and a four meat carvery Sunday lunchtime - this is who we are, nothing is hidden or misrepresented. If we aren't to your taste, that's fine we don't want anyone that comes here to be unhappy.

Hi Dominic thank you for your feedback.We only have limited parking and at peak times it can be hectic, but we do usually manage to get hotel guests parked.As the tv signal around here is so poor all our rooms have a full Sky package, as for there being no staff about to help I find this very odd as we are staffed from 7.30am until close and our guests generally comment on how friendly and helpful they are.
