Very clean (unit most important this). Fairly old as are most buildings on Norfolk Is. Water has a strong iron taste. Kitchen cupboards are in need of a new coat of varnish, but still well kept. Some parts of the building exterior need a sand back / repaint. Plenty of room to park, (a car is absolutely necessary for a holiday at Norfolk Is). However, the driveway entry almost requires 4 wheel drive due to the very large potholes. Much the same as the Island roads which have been repatched so often it is a wonder that the local cars hold together.
The fridge in the apartment was very old, but still ran well (but it did wobble on its feet). We did not use the gas stove. Microwave worked okay. Toaster, cutlery, plates etc all okay. Our 2 bed room apartment was very roomy except for the bedroom with the double bed which had very little space either side of the bed. (But bed was very comfortable and linen very good.) Towels very good, shower cramped. Plenty of wardrobes and cupboards. There was an almost total lack of lighting in the lounge area which made reading at night very difficult. I should have asked for some more lamps. TV set is good (Aussie freeview only) and furniture good and comfortable.
Guest laundry was cramped and untidy as it is actually the motel laundry which meant that there was a lot of use.
Definitely a place to stay.
