The hotel is right on the pedestrian walking street in the middle of downtown. There are restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping just footsteps from the hotel. The area is very spacious and clean. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Although it is a little pricier than some other choices in the city, a lot of things are included. They bring in breakfast each morning to your room at the time you specify. You can choose from a menu of items from a local cafe. Also, laundry is also included which was very helpful for a family of four staying two weeks. They even offered free child care (except for infants), but we never had a need to use it. The hotel is in a historic building dating back to imperial Russia and they have some interesting pictures and history related to that.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this place. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was super clean and beautifully decorated. Although being next to the main pedestrian mall, the thick walls and sound proof windows made it very quiet and I had a good night's sleep there. I would recommend this place to any traveler.
This is a small apartment hotel. They only have two apartments, but the qualities on the apartments are very high. I saw both apartments when I stayed there. On the hotel website its difficult to understand the different on the two apartments, but the large apartment have a larger bathroom with both a shower and a bathtub, the smaller apartment have only a shower in the bathroom.
The location is very central. The hotel is located in an historical building on the pedestrian main street of Nizhny Novogorod. The entrance is a bit difficult to find, as is it located on the side of the building and the text is only in Russian. From the hotel it is only 10 min to walk over to the Kremlin. The main street is a shopping area so there are both restaurants and cafes nearby.
You choose breakfast from a list the evening before, and its broth to the room from a nearby restaurant. The quality on the breakfast was good. The cable TV was not that good, but when you are in this historical city you don’t want to waste time watching TV. There was a DVD player and some DVD’s in the room.
I will defiantly use this hotel the next time I go to Nizhny Novogorod. It was cozy and nice, and we had a pleasant stay.
