“Great Location and Charm!”
The hotel was in a great location, within walking distance to the small seaside town shops and restaurants. There was a beautiful marina and beach right down the street. It was on a bus line that took you for $1.35 from Nice to Monaco! The hotel itself was immaculate and had beautiful sea views (3rd fl. facing sea) and a beautiful French country hillside (3rd fl. facing side) . I can't wait to go back and would stay there again and again. It was VERY reasonable for a large room with large french windows and ceilings. The small seaside town it was located in was perfect, lots of restaurants, cafe's and patisseries and shops. There were two marinas within walking distance as well as a beautiful beach! It was only a 15 min. car trip to the city of Nice and 30 min. to Italy.
“Great place!”
We thorougly enjoyed our stay at the Carlton Beaulieu Hotel. Our room was lovely, clean and comfortable, all members of the staff have been very friendly and the location of the hotel is ideal (situated in a quiet area, though still very close to the promenade and the beaches). We were there in mid-October and could still use the facilities of the pool without any problems. Will certainly come back!
“Would go back”
Friendly greeting Great tips of visits Room a little small Would go back
“a good find on Cote D'Azure”
The hotel is very well situated and well marked on the main roads. The buffet breakfast served on the terrace is worth paying the extra fee. Our only complaint was the size of the room-too small for two persons although it did contain all the amenities. The staff was very helpful with directions to various sights and provided special maps. All the beautiful villages and town were 15-25 minutes drive away, the Nice airport only 15 minutes away. We would stay there again, but pay a little more to get a bigger room! There is also parking behind the hotel or street parking right outside.
“Quality at the Carlton”
A warm welcome was backed up by helpful and pleasant staff. Our room was spacious and the air conditioning most effective.Breakfast was self selection from a wide variety of choices and could be eaten inside or on the terrace, weather permitting.
“Shabby, but not shabby chic.”
I stayed in 2 different rooms, both were very outdated and shabby. The 'breakfast buffet' at the price of 10 Euros-or just under 15 dollars was comprised of low cost breakfast items and low quality products. The swimming pool closes early, so no chance for an early evening swim. Parking was 8 Euros per night-10+ dollars but limited space. The tv signal goes in and out so it was impossible to watch. For 2 days, the internet was out-I was in the South of France for professional reasons, and unable to email. When the internet was functioning the signal was also in and out, and too weak to connect at the pool.
“Will look for another hotel”
