My Sister and myself stayed for 2 nights at the Maldron Hotel recently and we were very thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The room was spotlessly clean, the food was excellent and we cannot praise the staff highly enough !! They were very friendly and approachable, and went out of their way to help with any queries or help we needed. Excellent Customer Service. We will definately come back and recommend to family & friends. X

Me and my prtner just stayed for the one night its was a lovely stay the staff was lovely and approacable if needed couldnt fault it in anyway it was a lovely stay definitely will be returning in the future

The hotel is lovely with a surprisingly good breakfast and meal options, but the real gem are the people who work there, several of whom went out of their way to help me when I locked myself out of my room, broke my phone charger, or needed to print my presentation. They are truly wonderful people who made what would have been a lovely stay into a truly remarkable one.

Lovely staff. They noticed it was my daughter's birthday and put balloons and a card in the room for her. Very thoughtful. Property is clean and location is great. Highly recommend!

Didn’t receive any VIP property. Felt the staff could have been more friendlier. The condition of the room was awful. Champagne cork, medicine packets from previous guests. Bed sheets had holes in. Toilet didn’t flush. Noise was an issue to. Used to love it here and it’s always been great. Gone downhill. Not sure if this is a freak visit.

I was pleased with the location and cleanliness. Would have liked to have an ice bucket in the room and maybe a fridge......also more viewing options for the tele would have been nice. But otherwise, i would recommend and also stay here again

Excellent hotel in the heart of the city convenient for shopping and restaurants. Room was well appointed with modern bathroom and cleaned to a high standard. Breakfast was plentiful and of a high standard in pleasant surroundings. Staff throughout the hotel were pleasant and extremely attentive at all times. Would highly recommend this hotel to anybody when staying in Newcastle.

No sleep both nights due to other guests screaming and fighting in the corridor outside our room . Went on for several hours . Also loud music from next door business into early hours of morning . No apology from staff when I explained and asked for a late check out .

All in all a good stay with a great breakfast. Only disappointment was we were allocated an accessible room. Great I’m sure for a wheelchair etc. but for able bodied people it’s not great everything is too low from the mirror in the bathroom to the hanging space. It was pointless hanging our coats as they trailed in the floor not to mention my dress. The lighting in the room is very dull too making applying makeup a bit of a hit and miss task

Perfect position in city centre.
Great hotel , made to feel very welcome in this lovely hotel by the exceptionally pleasant and friendly staff. It is in a perfect position in the city, 8 minute walk from Theatre Royal. Well organised, clean, spacious, comfortable and good quality service.. Stayed 31st January.

Our stay was really good. The staff were all so kind and happy whilst working. Though it was very noisy in the middle of the night with other guests shouting and singing at 4am on both the nights we stayed. I also hung up the towel I used as I didn’t see the need for it to be replaced after one use but it was taken away and a fresh one was left. We also drank our water in the first night and no fresh cartons were left. We rang down for some but we were told it would be a £5 charge to have someone bring them up to us. Good central location. Clean hotel.

The building and the rooms are modern and really nicely decorated. They have a good buffet breakfast (intercontinental). Staff members were all really friendly and polite. My experience wasn’t so good because the first room assigned to me wasn’t clean, so they changed it. Also kindly gave me 2 free drinks for the bar. The second room was clean, missing the mat bath but they provided as soon as I asked for it. When I went to shower realised that shampoo and body wash were finished… i tried to call reception 4 times and nobody picked up. I didn’t make a complaint nor ask again. Overall not the greatest experience. The hotel is in a great location but Im not sure if I will go back.
