Had a little trouble/minor delay gaining access, internet? The place was clean and private spa great after a walk in the rain. Location is within an hour of many worthwhile attractions but not near groceries or much shopping.

Perfect for summer and winter
Great property in the heart of National Park. We stayed in summer so enjoyed the deck and spa and bad weather rolled in and loved the fire. Close to places to eat and the service station.

Cosy Family Bach
Simple straightforward access and communication with owner. Great location and a nice homely feeling holiday house with everything you need for a stay in National Park, with a spa and Sky TV as welcome bonuses on wet days. Will definitely book again.

Cozy house close to the mountains
Loved this place. We arrived late at night but the security lights made it easy to get in. The wet/mud room at the front door was good for getting out of wet gear after a day out. It was nice and warm despite it being cold out. Easy walk to the 2 restaurants and to the convenience store another block away. The spa pool was a welcome way to finish the day. Imogen the host communicated clearly and well.

Great place to explore Tongariro National Park
We stayed here for a couple of nights to explore Tongariro National Park and it was perfect for that. Easy to get to Whakapapa and to the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. Soaking in the spa after a long day of hiking was amazing. The bach is big and cozy and had everything we needed during our stay. There were just 4 of us and plenty of room, so I think it would be quite comfortable for bigger groups as well. Lots of windows letting in the sunshine and a very cozy living room. I definitely recommend staying here!

Perfect location for girls’ weekend
Te Honu House is centrally located, warm and lovely house. Perfect for our girls’ weekend doing the Tongariro Alpine Crossing and relaxing in the spa afterwards. Great communication with the property owner, highly recommended.

Perfect base for Tongariro Crossing
We had a great stay at Imogen's place - its a perfect base for both Tongariro Crossing and cycling the Old Coach Road, with the bonus of being able to hop in the spa pool afterwards! The house is very clean and has all that you need. It was the perfect size for our family with two teens. Great communication from Imogen and very quick response to any queries. Highly recommend a stay!

Clean and tidy property with all the amenities needed. Was a nice touch that there was things like washing powder, shampoo etc available. Really enjoyed the spa after a four day tramping trip to soak the tired legs.

Every year we stay here and every year it works perfectly for our family. From toddlers to now teens and pre-teens. Just a walk away to playground, 4 square and the pub for dinner. This property never let's us down!

Family getaway.
After the mix up of being double booked and moving our holiday a month later we liased with Imogen and arrived to a warm comfortable house. It had all that you needed. Loved the mud room. As there were 9 of us, we were worried about space. We would reccomend and definitely stay here again.

Three friends stayed for a couple of nights. Although we didnt get to walk the Tongariro crossing its perfectly located for either the Crossing or our Plan B the Old Coach Road. Imogen was easy to deal with and her property has everything you could possibly need. We had a great sleep in very comfortable beds. Would definitely stay again.

Having not stayed at National Park before I was greatly surprised with the services around, ie cafe, restaurant and 4Square. The house was also perfect for our little 4 person family, incl 10 and 8 year olds. The place was clean and kitchen well equipped, and beds comfortable. Highly recommeded.

Property in a good location with walking distance to everything in the town. Very warm and comfortable for six of us. Fireplace and games were fantastic for the cold evenings and kitchen had everything so easy to cook for ourselves. I would definitely use again.

Lovely little cottage
Very nice and tidy. Walking distance to restaurants and an awesome kids playground. Updated photos of the bedrooms would be beneficial. We found double bunk beds in the 2 bedrooms a bit much for the adults. Differing from the photos and the description. Overall a lovely warm home that is worth coming back to stay.

Smart, cosy and comfy
This house has recently been renovated and I must say it is very smart, cosy and comfy. There was a slight hiccup with cleaning before we arrived but it was soon sorted and communication with the owner was quick and easy. We loved the spa bath - it eased our aching limbs after finishing the Tongariro crossing. Can also recommend the Station for a lovely meal. All in all a great place to stay and a great base for any mountain adventures whatever the weather or season.

Apologies again Jean for my error with the cleaning - I got my dates wrong and booked the clean for the day after your arrival. Thankfully I noticed before you arrived as was able to let you know and book a back-up cleaner when my usual one was unavailable. Thank you for your understanding and paitence around the late preparation and arrival of linen. Something I hope never to repeat! :)
