The deer near the entrances are a bit keen, maybe hide your deer cake until you get further into the park.

One can take a bus all the way to Nara or take a bus to Kyoto station, then catch the express train to Nara.

Nara is just a train ride from Kyoto Station which is just 5 to 10 minutes walk from the hotel.
