The unit was quite adequate but the curtains in the toilet and kitchen had holes. The curtain on the ranch-slider needs more hangers. It looked untidy.

Well located, convenient, roomy, well equipped. All that we needed was available, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The standard of cleaning was poor, however.

Property is old and tired! Toilet isn’t very clean and although it has all the facilities you need it does need updating! Area is mainly residential but not far from Napier city centre

It had a nice little private courtyard. One of the single beds was broken so had to take the mattress off and sleep on the floor, the cups weren't cleaned as i found one with what looked like cola stuck to it. The main bedroom smelt musty. Probably wouldn't come back.

PRO: * The owner was very nice to deal with friendly. * The location was good and very handy. * Price was very reasonable. * There were only 6 units so it was quiet and not so busy CON: * I think they should fire their cleaners an get new cleaners because when we opened the sheets for one of the beds, it had food crumbs all over it (and hair!), the back of the doors were dirty (a wet cloth would have done the trick), it was dirty behind the beds, one of the pots had dried noodles (for some time I think) and there was mould above the sliding door in the bathroom. * The room we had was just 'tired' and in need of a do up.

Art decor capital. Popular town & beaches.
Great place to stay. Very quiet & clean. Owner was very helpful & friendly. Nice individual grassed outside area per unit. Napier is a must see. Will be returning.

It is a basic unit but comfortable, clean and tidy. Was good value for the price, especially at the last minute during a busy time. Handy location to town. Friendly and helpful staff, especially as we checked in very late.

The only disappointment was that the dishes (cutlery/chopping board/plates) needed to be washed prior to us eating off them. Although the bathroom was quite small for a family unit (that could sleep 8) the walls had marks and hair on them like it needed a good wipe down.

Had exactly what we needed for our 2 night family stay. Love the space, comfy beds. Rooms are very basic and maybe in need of upgrade but rooms were very clean, staff super friendly and helpful. We've stayed before many times and will be back with our family.

Room had everything we needed and was super clean, staff were very friendly but I was a bit disappointed with how old EVERYTHING was. It was a bit overpriced at $195 for what it was.

A Sad Occasion Made Much Better
We made a trip to Napier to attend the funeral of a close family friend. We booked into the Bay Beauty Motel using Expedia. We had travel delays - but we really appreciated the hotel staff ringing us to make sure all was okay, and the staying at the registration desk until our arrival. The wonderful room and facilities were all ready for our arrival - and the staff had even turned on a fan to make things much more comfortable (it was a very hot day to be on a long drive). Our visit to Napier was because of a sad occasion - but the wonderful accomodation and hospitality provided by the Bay Beauty Motel made the experience a lot better than it would otherwise have been. We are looking forward to returning under happier circumstances.

Very comfortable soft bed and polite staff
Bathroom, Kitchen and playground could do with an upgrade and sofa not very comfy. Apart from that, King Size bed is wonderfully comfortable and staff dealt with us in pleasant, polite and generous manner. Nice to have courtyard as well.

We got upgraded to a one bedroom apartment instead of the studio suite which was fantastic for a family of 5. It was clean and comfortable for one night. Close to all amenities.

The motel is so run down and looks nothing like the photos on your website. I feel it was worth the price bedding was old and marked and the pillows were absolutely disgusting. pleased i took my own. Close to shops. you need to consider taking this off your site.

Great value for money. My husband was away from home for 4 nights and the Bay Beauty motel provided a great home away from home. Staff were friendly and helpful for us out of towners, Not the flashest in Napier, but cheaper than their neighbours,

Close to town, spacious, clean and friendly. It's an older motel nothing flash but has everything you need. We arrived after dark and our room heater had been turned on so it was warm when we entered.

Only thing you could really fault about this place is it is very dated aesthetically and the parking/driveway is tight. The bed was very comfy, the shower was good, the room was clean. There was plunger coffee. All the things necessary when you go away. For cheaper type accommodation it was very good

Satisfactory location on edge of downtown.
Friendly check in person. However, this place has seen better days. Probably built in 1960's & never upgraded: old beds, shower, kitchen w/ faucets that screamed, pokey back patio w/ 1 dirty decrepit chair, frightening spa tub for public use. If the wifi worked, more people would have reported that this place should be taken off its Expedia listing!

We stayed in the family room and while the beds were comfortable enough, we felt that the cleanliness was below standard, owing we think to the fact that the unit hadn't been upgraded since it was built. Definitely not up to a standard we would expect in a modest motel unit. The ranch-slider lock needs attention.There was no instruction booklet for the TV or any information at all about the city we were staying in. We had come to visit family, so we were not in during the day, but new visitors to the area would have been less than impressed. We also felt that as a family unit, the bathroom was very cramped. un
