The radisson was pretty comfortable- it looked pretty new and fresh and well kept. The breakfast buffet was actually excellent- surprising selection and quality (would highly recommend getting it included in your room rate as it is much more economical) but extremely limited room service menu (e.g. 2 burgers and 4 entrees), I couldn't seem to get my A/C to work-it was cooling during the day but consistently woke up to a hot room around 3am? If you don't want room service or buffet, only other option is the very expensive/fancy steakhouse or the bar. I had a chicken quesadilla at the bar, it came with no cheese and chicken soaked in soy sauce but Innocent and Peter noticed my concerns and had them remake it properly so kudos to them. Also it took them 20 minutes to check me out (despite having already paid for the room and left a card for incidentals) and then when my uber got delayed they told me they had a taxi outside (for 4x more) so as it was getting late I cancelled my uber and prepaid only to find the taxi was not outside and actually 10 minutes away, which was frustrating particularly since the whole process should have been 3 minutes and not 30 which really matter for those early morning flights.

I liked all the services, room cleaning, hall ways very clean kitchen service brought the food late without complaining it's late and receptionist service were awesome asking whether we need help. As all Radisson Blu is now my place to stay each time I will visit Kenya and recommending it to all the people I know who will visit Kenya. Nothing to complain about Radisson Blu during my stay. It was more than home and thanks to all I interacted with. My God Bless you all and hopefully this corona virus goes in order visitors to come back.

The issue of charging 60$ for early Check in. The room service/dining was lacking and the smart buttons on the telephone were not functional and part of the card entry system on the door just fell off!

Excellent hotel but you pay for it. We paid almost double than what we did at the Boma. The hotel is very chic. Great food and service. Luxury in one word but was a big much for a transit night. It would have been worth it if we stayed longer.

No Water
Unfortunately one of the most unpleasant stays at any hotel in Nairobi, during my stay there was not hot water (at one stage there was no water) available. The staff were extremely unhelpful and made promises that they new they could not keep, in addition there was no communication from the management team. As a Partner of the Africa Alliance Group (many of our staff and management stay at the hotel) i have instructed our travel agent not to book any member in your hotel again. When checking out I was offered a 20% discount, but due to the fact that we booked via a hotel booking site it could not apply to me. The treatment and communication was extremely unprofessional and reflects very poorly on both Kenya and the Radisson Group.

The hotel itself was absolutely fine and what you would expect for a Radisson. The staff are charming and helpful. The issue was that for three days there was a mix of no hot water and no water as their water pipe had broken, ultimately leading to me and everyone else having to be moved elsewhere. They did without question but it was obviously a bit of a pain.

There was no water and no communication regarding the status of the water upon check-in by reception. First morning there was a trickle of water, but cold water only! Second morning the guest had to boil a kettle to shave. This is unacceptable for a 5* hotel!! No option given to move to another hotel & we had pre-paid for accommodation - no compensation given - very disappointing!!
