"This is a small hotel, one hour south of Marrakesh. It was a nice drive through a couple of villages and slowly climbing but you're in no way at a significant altitude. I asked for a car to take us from our hotel in Marrakesh. That was fine but in hindsight I should have arranged it myself and probably saved myself half the 70 euros I did pay. You could certainly arrange pickup from the lodge by someone from Marrakesh but we did use their (different) man, who drove us back and was friendly. I...

"The stay at Lachens was sort of like a dream. The view from the balcony overlooking the mountains is so pretty. We are city folks so for us it was a couple of days to be able to dis connect and be in tune with the nature. Imlil is a serious trekking town but we are not hard core trekkers. "This was a superb riad. The staff were exceptional, treating us like friends, who were always smiling, welcoming and endeavouring to help in whatever way they could. In fact they carried luggage, made booking s for us and did our laundry gratis. The riad is spectacular amd just what we wanted for a true Moroccan experience, with a pool in the entry area where we were offered mi t tea and cookies. The rooms were very comfortable and the riad was very close to all the attractions we wanted to see."
