This location is the best for walking in the old town and many of the brew halls. The hotel is super clean and has a great breakfast in a beautiful room.

Beautiful hotel, centrally located in old Munich. Two blocks from Hofbrau, Marienplatz, great restaurants. Nice breakfast. Modern, well-appointed room. Heated floors in modern bath. Great staff and service. Highly recommend.

I really liked this hotel. First, I liked the historic building. It added interest. Second, the room was great. Big and spacious with a nice work space and a real deep bathtub. People were real nice and helpful and the location is good. It is near the MarienPlatz, about 15 minutes from the art museums.

We appreciated the cleanliness, closeness to downtown Munich, friendliness of the staff, and ease of transportation, when we did choose not to walk. This is an excellent place to stay in Munich and we highly recommend it.

The hotel was in Old Town Munich. Excellent restaurants steps away. The breakfast was amazing. Loved the bedding and how clean the room was. Absolutely a great choice to stay.

Very clean wonderful hotel. Great location. Unfortunately they do not have food in the bar. Only breakfast. Our room was clean wonderful bed and nice mini fridge filled with waters and juice. We would stay here again for sure.

A great hotel. Very convenient location for the S bahn from the airport and for walking into the centre. Ultra clean and very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay again.

21st century expectations exceeded by a 14th century hotel (rebuilt of course). Situated just inside one of the original city gates, the Torbrau is exceptionally located near the historic Marian square, shopping & the main Christmas markets. Staff were exceptional. Room was larger than we expected. We knew nothing about Torbrau before this trip but it is now our preferred Munich hotel for its location & character.

This is a fine, old town European hotel. Convenient to metro lines and within easy walking distance of Marienplatz, Frauenkirche, and the Residenz. Clean neat room with great service.

The hotel was in a great location. The staff was wonderful, and even with all of the crazy shutdowns with the snow we had in Munich. They bent over backwards to make sure we had a place to stay when all of our flights were canceled. We are very appreciative.

The hotel is clean but not very modern. There's only one elevator fits two people, a flight of stairs before you reach the elevator and another set depending where your room is. What sucks most is you hear all the noise from the hallways or neighboring rooms. Very difficult to get good rest. Some rooms have rugs and others wooden floors, so all the noise - a cough, a pen drop, moving furniture or walking - can be heard at all hours. And the cleaning staff start making noise around 6a-7a. Beds are not too comfortable and the pillows are flat pancakes. Temperature in the room is warm and the ac works ok. The staff was very nice. Location is perfect, very walkable to many stores and attractions. The train is a block away. Breakfast is bland.

The hotel was in a great area of Munich. It was very walkable and close to trains. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good! The room was small but clean and had everything we needed. I highly recommend Hotel Torbrau.

We booked a Deluxe room which was supposed to have a "rain shower or rain shower and bathtub" but our room only had a bathtub with a handheld shower. We were tired when we arrived, especially after hauling everything up 5 flights of stairs. so we didn't want to deal with getting a different room. The room was clean. The bed was a step up from the rest of the room which was a huge tripping hazard in the middle of the night so we had to keep the bathroom light on. That interrupted our ability to sleep well.

The hotel Torbrau is a charming hotel in an excellent location. It is within walking distance of many sights and close to a subway station. The front desk staff were all very friendly. It was probably one of the most quiet rooms we have stayed in. The only thing we did not like was the shower-it was very small and its awkward shape made it very difficult to enjoy taking a shower.

This hotel was just OK for us… very high room rates for Oktoberfest. Staff was 50/50 depending on who was helping you… some friendly, others not. Room was average & dated but the free mini bar was nice . Very walkable to metro and main square
