This hotel works out well since you can get to the center of town by walking the promenade. There is a fantastic restaurant in town that is called Krawummel. My spouse and I travel to this lovely city because it is lovely, but also for the restaurant. It is vegan and has terrific cupcakes, muffins, and lots of wonderful sandwiches, salads, and so forth. I would recommend staying in the newer wing of the hotel, for the older is a little "tired" appearing. The staff is wonderful and extremely helpful.
Hotel Dorf Musterland is a huge hotel that is probably designed for conferences and small trade shows. It is a large property and is probably just popping in the summer time. They have several outdoor bistros and beer garden and have concerts at their property during the summer. It's a gorgeous hotel out in the country and the staff is very nice. The complimentary breakfast is a WONDERFUL spread of great food from smoked salmon to cured meats to fresh fruits. Excellent bar and restaurant during dinner. Very nice wait and hotel staff that was engaging and pleasant. I would love to come back and stay during the summer to experience their patio grounds.
The staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful. The staff on Friday in the Breakfast room was also very friendly and professional. However, on Saturday the staff tending Breakfast appeared to be slow and did not show the same friendliness.

lovely hotel in beautiful town. close to main station for buses and trains but also close to parks and shops etc. hotel staff helpful (booking us taxis, directions, information etc.) breakfast looked lovely although we where visiting friends so ate out all the time. stored luggage, allowed early check in as able. good size family room with coffee machine and drinks.
Our stay at the Factory was a really enjoyable experience. From the minute we checked in the staff were very pleasant and helpful giving us information about bus routes into town and supplying us with a very useful map. The fact that the hotel is a renovated old brewery brings something different to the surroundings - exposed brick and plasterwork, a really innovative idea!
Although not in the city centre, we decided to walk and it took about 15-20 minutes. Perfectly manageable on a warm evening. The breakfast was excellent and having had only continental breakfast throughout the rest of our European trip, it was fantastic to have hot food - particularly eggs and bacon!!
All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We would definitely stay at The Factory again and will certainly recommend it to friends.

My room was great, it was bigger than I expected given that I booked a room for one person only. The bathroom has recently been refurbished and I had a flat screen TV (not that I watched it that much but it was nice).
For a 4-star hotel, however, I would have expected a free wifi. I actually thought this was included in the price (the rate I paid was a bit on a pricey side). Also the breakfast could have been much better (at least some basic pastries would have been nice).
