When we found the hotel, It said it included breakfast, a pool and parking. When we arrived, we found out there was no pool. I am wondering if it was an old post or a different hotel that just got tacked onto this same brand. There was no parking as the parking garage had been sold and we had to pay a different facility for parking. There was no street parking or any parking in the area to unload the car getting in and out of the parking garage was the parking pass did not open the doors you had to wait until someone went in the car and follow them in. Room on second floor upon exiting the elevator with all our luggage, we found four maids carts lining the hallway. It was about 4 o'clock in the afternoon. We assume they were just cleaning, but for the week that we were there, they never moved. They were blocking the hallway and frequently we have to push them out of the way to get past the elevator. Breakfast consistent of prepackaged muffins or slices of bread you could toast and that was it. We picked up fruit one day and it was rotted so we didn't touch it again.

It’s situated in a classical Quebecois style building that is fast disappearing in Montreal. The hotel is very basic. That being said, it is everything I want in a hotel. Friendly front desk, clean room, comfortable bed, quiet room. Great value for the money. Breakfast looked very meagre so skipped it and went to a great place nearby: L’eufrier.

This is a nice hotel. Very clean and the staff are friendly. There’s a complimentary breakfast of bagels, yogurt, coffee. The location is quiet but still close to downtown for shopping and food. The only downside is the parking. It’s in a pay garage across the street, and it’s a bit difficult to get back into to get your car. Overall a very good experience and I would stay here again.

Endroit très propre, chambre confortable avec les accomodations nécessaires. Déjeuner continental avec choix. Seule chose: l'endroit n'est pas super bien insonorisé: on entends marcher dans le corridor mais rien pour déranger ou pour empêcher de dormir. Very helpful friendly staff, parking garage was very close, walking distance for our needs. We left before breakfast but were still able to grab lattes, cheese, yogurt and muffins to go. We don’t speak French and it wasn’t a problem

Did not like the noise coming from vehicular traffic outside my window in the night. Liked the comfortable bed and room. There needs to be a way to turn on the bedside lights from the bed area instead of having to go all the way to the room entrance to do it

Paper thin walls
Lady at the desk very friendly great service. Did not sleep the first night party in the next room until 5:30 am. Has to call the front desk twice but noise continued. Got sleep the next two nights. Will not stay hear again will spend the extra to have a more comfortable stay. Walls at this hotel were paper thin.

The hotel is budget for sure. On the morning after my first night, I asked the desk attendent on the way out to service the room, providing her the number. I returned later in the afternoon to find it had not been serviced. I informed the new desk clerk. When I came back again a "do not disturb" sign was on the door. The room had not been cleaned. I went to the desk. The guy said it wasn't cleaned because of the sign on the door. Since I didn't put the sign there, I can assume it was put there so the room couldn't be serviced. The desk clerk said housekeeping had left for the day and I was out of luck. I asked that he send some fresh towels up. Ready for it...they never arrived. If you want service and cleanliness this is not the hotel for you.

Bruna who worked at the reception was excellent! She was friendly, helpful and polite. I gave a higher rating for this property only because of her. The hotel itself was not clean and other staff were seen on their phones instead of taking care of the hotel

The place was pretty good. Parking was across the street in a underground parking area without security. Place was clean. Super small tv, way high on the wall. Coffee/hot water etc available 24hours main floor. Staff and reception team is awesome and always ready to help.

Very average for the 200$ we paid for each night. The room was tiny, when opening our suitcases we had to jump over them to reach the bed. There is no soundproofing at all (we could hear the guests next door burping) and the continental breakfast is a tiny breakroom with a coffee/juice machine, some yoghurts, muffins, cereal and a toaster. We had to bring our 'breakfast' up to the room every day because there's only 3 small tables for the entire hotel (and they were always dirty). The only pro is that the Quartier LAtin is nearby with very cool restaurants/bars, and the parking opposite the hotel is completely free. Other than that wouldn't really recommend it for this price.

We stayed at the Econolodge for four nights during our family trip to Montreal in August. It was an excellent experience and all of the staff (especially Emma) that we interacted with were extremely helpful and friendly. I'll begin with the elephant in the room, or more accurately across the street, which is the parking garage across from the hotel entrance. It's an eye sore!! But once you get past the fact it's the back of an ugly parking garage, it has absolutely no bearing on the quality of the hotel and it's excellent location. We did not have a car and were able to walk to nearly every major attraction that we wanted to see within 20 - 30 minutes. Right around the corner on St. Catherine's Street and there are tons of restaurants, pubs, and shops to choose from. *If you are stocking up on the cheap for your day trips, there's a Dollarama and a PharmaPrix (Shoppers Frug Mart) about 5 minutes away. Inside, the hotel is very clean and the rooms are simple and well taken care of. The beds are confortable and the rooms are equipped with mini-fridge. Downstairs, the breakfast room is a life saver. It serves a variety of breakfast items from muffins to yogurt, cereal and fresh fruit. The coffee machine was appreciated, as you could customize your hot beverage of choice before heading out on your day of adventure in Montreal. If you are looking for a budget-friendly hotel in a good location, with fantastic service and a reasonable price...the Econolodge is tough to beat.

Good basic hotel
Basic hotel room. Carpets need cleaning in the halls. Staff very helpful. Management is very good. Snack bags nice.
