The breakfast is really nice and the property overlooks great views of Galle lighthouse. PickMe offers cheap Tuk Tuks/taxis to unawatuna/ galle. "There are 3 hotels in the Somerset group. This is away from the beach. Its up a very steep narrow concrete road. Its dark in the night and only 1 vehicle can go up or down this dark narrow road. The hotel staff are really nice. The rooms are a bit dated. The breakfast buffet was a joke as compared to hotels we have stayed in colombo. There was no buffet. Just a plate of fruit and eggs if you asked. Better stay is closer to the beach and somerset has a hotel right on tne beach"

"This is a good hotel situated right on the beach. The room had all the basic essentials. We stayed in a budget room. The walls were full of stains and the mosquito net smelled like it hadn't been washed in months. Budget should not mean the room is not maintained. We stayed 5 nights. " it was surprise to me when I reached the hotel and had to leave it since it is nothing like the mis leading deceiving pictures where the hotel was extremely dirty, deserted, the bed with pee stains, hygiene zero and 3 guys managing it who has zero hygiene and didn’t look like they are running the place which was quite creepy.
