"This is a no frills resort. If you're looking to get of the beaten pay this the place . We loved it walking distance on the beach to one of the most beautiful beaches on the island , not white beach, much nicer. Restaurant has a limited selection but some tasty local foods . We rented a motorcycle for 4days best thing ever as we saw the island at our own pace. Support staff fantastic and liokes after us . Very rustic rooms gret experience."

"We had an outstanding stay at the Hibiscus Garden Hotel. It has a beautiful garden and pool area. Arlene welcomed us us immediately, got help with our (many) bags from scuba diving and booked us transport to the airport. The hotel kept our bags while we were on tour. A very pleasant surprise was the hotel restaurant, which has a big menu. Everything we ate was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel."

"A good value. Hot water shower, air conditioning, cable TV, comfortable bed, and backup generator (used during periodic "brown outs".) Their restaurant is closed but there are three nearby restaurants that are good. Two within easy walking distance and the third is quickly reached by tricycle (local transport). "By far, OYO Rockssar was the best 2-star hotel we experienced in this 3 week trip in the Philippines from Iloilo to Cebu (OYO in Moalboal cancelled on us last minute so not impressed =(), to Panglao, Coron then back to Manila. "Simple, but clean and comfortable. We booked a little room with bunk beds but we actually slept together in the bottom bunk, no problem at all! Has a nice nautical theme running through the guest house. Aircon is cold, shower is hot if you want it. Off road parking for bikes right outside. Susan, the owner, very friendly. Right price, which seems to be a rarity in the Philippines, so all good."

"All good, just troubles with check in - they let me wait until 2 pm saying that it is the time that the check in starts even though everywhere is written that it starts at 1 pm, very confusing and annoying to let you wait even though the room was already supposed to be ready!! No compensation for all the useless waiting kn the heat "

"This is not a place to welcome people. It is very dirty and not safe, there were more than 20 men doing some weird business just outside the room. We changed the hotel because we did not feel safe and it was not clean. We would have not been able to sleep there in these conditions. We usually don’t have high standards in terms of rooms, but this was just not acceptable. "
