I was traveling to this hotel as my daughter had prom at St. George's. I had sprained my ankle prior to this trip. When I arrived at the first building I took my luggage in and up the elevator. I went to check in and the girl at the desk told me I needed to go to the other building. Not the end of the world but I requested help with getting my stuff back down the elevator and to the car, she said no. When she took my card to check me it she said my card was declined. I knew there was no way my card was declined and asked her to run it again, and again. She was rude and I said what am I supposed to do my other card is in the car? She said, cannot help you. At that point some man came up to the front desk and asked if there was a problem. I told him YES THERE IS A PROBLEM. He told the girl she wasn't doing it right and got me checked in, no problem. However, no offer to help me back to my car with my luggage and into the 2nd building. What a shame, loved the hotel, location, cleanliness.. Staff was Rude. I travel all the time for work and never received such poor service from the staff.

We have stayed at this hotel several times and were disappointed with our recent experience. The hallway was dirty when we arrived and the coffee maker was broken, leaking all over the table. Our room was near the elevator and was very noisy as was the heater in the room. However, the bathroom was quite large and the bed very comfortable. Unfortunately, we will not be staying there again.

Nice hotel, 5 minutes away from the Rhode Island Cliff Walk, beach and surfing by car and also close by, by car to the Newport mansions and most likely a bunch of other attractions which we didn't have time to see yet.

Heat/AC unit was falling off the wall and was so noisy. Pool and gym are in property across the street - way too cold to walk in Spring/Fall. Probably nice in the summer, but definitely not a Spring destination. A good reminder to ask for a room far away from the elevator lobby.

Thank you for taking the time to submit your review. We will definitely be having maintenance look into the heater unit and have that corrected immediately! We do understand that it can be a little bit of a hassle when not staying in the same building as the pool but there is a restroom with a bench guests can change into or out of their swimsuits, so they are not having to walk in their wet clothes outside in the cold.

Thank you for staying with us! We are sorry to hear you were disappointed with the hotel for not offering HBO. It is not something we have ever offered and surprisingly this is the first time we've ever had anyone upset over it. This will be discussed during our managers meeting to see if it is something we can provide in the future.

The room was a nice size with a large sitting area and nice view of the beach and ocean. The mini fridge was set to max (cool the beer now!) and one of our non alcoholic drinks froze and exploded. The room was noisy, we could hear the kids playing in the hallway and the room service staff talking from down the hall as well as street noise. Soundproofing insulation would go a long way in the next renovation. Overall it was a nice room at a reasonable price.

Good stay! Very easy to check in (they had our room ready early). Everything was clean and relatively renovated in our room. Great location, it’s by the beach and walkable to the cliff walk (but we drove and it was 1 min away). Downtown is about a 5 min drive. Indoor pool was great given it was a little chilly when we visited. Only complaint is that WiFi was not good in our room and the elevator was a bit noisy in the morning.

This hotel was absolutely spotless! I enjoyed the King room- it was incredibly spacious and comfortable. The location is right across the street from the beach, and a short distance to downtown Newport. Staff were friendly, helpful, and efficient. I would definitely stay here again!

The check in was confusing because of the two buildings on the property. The room was nice and some of the views were very good. Other rooms had no views. Ask at the front desk if you have any views from your room
