Great location for the beach, nightlife and public transport around the city. Friendly staff. Beautiful Art Deco hotel but a little tired on the inside and showing its age. We had some damp salts penetrating the walls so the room smelt damp. Coffee pods are chargeable and had been included everywhere else we stayed. The chairs were very worn and taped up with Scotch tape. The hot tub was over chlorinated but hopefully that was a one-off! Rooftop pool was lovely with bar, great sun loungers and beds.

This is my second time that I stay at this place and I feel like everything gets better than the first time . We had a cold night and we wished to be able to turn on the heat in the room but there was not such a option. We survived tho. Other way everything was excellent

The property is not the same as pictured, the room smelled like mildew, the room were much smaller then pictured. The pool area was not kept well, the pillows were stained, the pool water was spilling out of the pool which made the floor wet and unsafe. Repairs are needed.

The place is no what you see in the photos is the hotel beside , the room was clean but the AC horrible no cooling enough, but the really worse part and be ready if you book here is the parking they don’t have parking what they offer you is public parking on the other block for 40 dollars at day if you have any disability please don’t book here they will give your spot on the last floor wish 5th and they don’t have elevator so every time you go out you need to walk up and down be aware of this

The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The only negative was the A/C wouldn’t go lower than 72 F and the mattress was close to its final days. That is honestly my only complaint. Room was clean, staff was fantastic, loved the beach access and the rooftop pool.

I would say the only thing I liked was the location and the amenities on the beach. The property looked nothing like the pictures. I got the impression The hotel is actually just a place for surplus guests when the actual hotel which is Boulan doesn’t have room. The rooms are very dated and there was renovations happening. The pics you see on their sight is actually for the other hotel. The one pic with the pink couches doesn’t even exist. I felt like I was being tricked. Also they charge extra for cleaning services everyday which is usually part of the daily charge.

The pictures on the website did not match the actual South Beach hotel. Our room was out dated and the beds were very springy and uncomfortable. We stayed at South Beach not knowing the its affliated with Boulan hotel which is next door and where the pool...restaurant..check-in reception etc all took place there and where the pictures on the website are from .... The positive side was the staff was nice and the location other than that the photos on the website for South Beach hotel was very misleading....

The property location is really good, however the property is really old, smelling old carpet and windows totally dirty. Frustrating!! There was a leek in my room that made all of our clothes wet and not even an offer to switch to another place. The hospitality and customer care was missed unfortunately.

Nail on the coffin was being charged additional $75 for checking out 30 min late. They do a bait and switch on building pictures. Staff was rude at front desk and lobby. Had to switch out of first room because the order of mildew. Hallways and elevator stink.

The pictures on the website do not match the reality. The hotel is very dated, dingy, and smells. It took me days to reach someone to confirm our reservation before arriving. Upon arrival, it was dark with some interesting characters roaming about. After a while, we learned we had to check in at a neighboring hotel and all the amenities listed on the website are located at the hotel next door. They put us (3 young women) in a smelly room that had an adjoining door to two very suspicious and odd-behaving men. They switched our room upon request so we felt safer but it was still subpar. Very disappointed in the very false advertising. Don’t make the same mistake we did. Luckily, we were able to find a new hotel the next day. Vacation saved!

This was the worst experience ever! They assigned me a room outside the normal hotel through a locked gate where no people were. It was isolated and very dirty. Bars on the windows and not even a solid door on the room. I immediately left and would never return. I felt completely unsafe there.

Location was good little loud between rooms but good size rooms and clean. Staff was friendly. Need to pay for a voucher for your free breakfast. If you're booking from a second party you will be charged a resort fee of almost 60 dollars a day US. Best to call directly rather than use Expedia or booking sites.

the service was very unpleasant. I arrived earlier and I also wrote in advance and called that I would be there in the morning and if possible, I could check in earlier. Unfortunately, the lady at the reception was not nice and told us to wait until 4 p.m. She didn't even suggest that if it was available, I would write to her by phone. Secondly, the reception is not located at the South Beach Hotel but at the first Boulan Hotel. No information, people come to the door and it is closed. The rooms are quite clean, unfortunately it is an old, renovated hotel. Bathroom accessories are very poor, such as shampoo and washing liquid for one person, it's ok, but if there are two, unfortunately they are small disposable tubes. It should be more. For a hotel, I can only give it 2 stars.

The hotel was not was related in the pictures! It’s a small boutique hotel that had a moldy smell! Other than our weekend housekeeper the staff were very unwelcoming! You check in in a different hotel than the one you’re staying in. There’s was a lot of false advertising about the hotel! We asked for ice they said they were on the way when we called back they said that the person left for the day! Overall will not ever return.

Conveniently located but not the cleanest property. At night it is VERY loud and noisy for the rooms located on the first level from outdoor foot and vehicle traffic.

I regret to state that I do not intend to patronize this hotel in the future. While the rate charged was $317.00, I would recommend a rate range of $126 to $150 per night based on the observed quality. The room exhibited signs of neglect, including tears in the rug, visible stains on the drapes, and apparent mold on the air vents, along with a discolored ceiling. The pictures shown on Expedia were totally false. That hotel truly needs some tender loving care, badly.

This hotel located, super conveniently near the beach. It was slightly unclear how to get beach loungers and towels at the beach but once checking in with the staff on the beach, we received towels and got to sit on the loungers. The pool at the hotel next-door was gorgeous and food at the Orange Blossom was very good. The hotel itself operates without any staff interaction (no front desk, only at the hotel next-door) within the building and the only staff we saw was the occasional housekeepers. The room itself was nice enough however, the window was pretty badly cracked, there was a few leaks in the bathroom, and the mini fridge in the room did not work very well. Overall, I definitely would stay at the hotel again, and definitely enjoyed how walkable it was to the nearby restaurants and shops.

Located in a quiet area with easy access to the beach, many things to do within walking distance. The staff were very professional and kind, and got our room ready early for us. The hotel itself is older and clearly needs a renovation but it was clean and comfortable and has charm. Did expect a bit more given the photos.

The staff was nice at first, but once you started to ask more questions, they began to be rude. The hotel does not look like the way it is on Expedia. I thought it was going to be one hotel. It turns out it is two hotels. There building is very old and once I got there, there was alot of renovations, or constructions going on. Apparently, the hotel is two hotels in one now? They do not tell you that until you get there. Which means the pool you need to take two elevators, and a whole walk around to get to the roof top pool. The parking is terrible to say the least. You think you pay $40 a day for parking to atleast it have elevator for yourself and luggage. Nope my car ended up being in the 3rd floor and I had to come down with luggage 3 floors down. The worst. I had switched over to another parking garage but it was $20 a day which is alot better than $40 but the elevator was out of service. Miami sucks. The parking situation sucks, let me not mention the gas in Miami super expensive. The restaurants were ok, I thought they were going to be better. The restaurant Miami hype was not at all what it seemed. The area is very old and trying to be upkept but somehow it fails to do so. The rich people were extremely rude, and to the left you will see bums and piss everywhere, it smelled. Then there is you in the middle trying to figure out what is going on. The only thing nice was the beach, the pool, and some stuff in the hotel which was the bar, and food items they had for you
