Ocean surf was closed they sent us to another hotel , the broadmoor hotel . The broadmoor hotel charged us an extra 108 dollars than the initial price was for ocean surf. The refrigerator didn’t work and they switched our room from 2 doubles to one king . The tv only got like 5 channels and none of them were in English .

hotel was cute, very vintage tho. location is amazing and comes with two beach chairs which is a huge plus. The staff was friendly and very cool helped us alot. the only thing is the the hotel room wasnt very clean but other than that i would stay here again.

First off I normally read all reviews before choosing to pay for anything. This time I did not. Really just needed to get away. Our hotel was switched to the Broadmoor. Which really wasn't as bad. But no notification was given until we arrived. The best part about this location, was the access to the beach and the view from our room... The Beach was literally across the street..

Checked into the hotel and was a little concerned right off the bat about the location. The pictures on Expedia and the hotel’s website do not match what the place actually looks like. The hallways look outdated and smell like cigarette smoke. In the room, one of our outlets was broken and couldn’t be used. Also, the window in the bathroom wouldn’t lock or stay open. The toilet was broken and ran the entire time and often wouldn’t flush. We were promised cable tv channels on Expedia but instead got only local antenna channels mostly in Spanish. The tv language was also set in Spanish making it harder to use. The safe was also broken. At night, things got worse as the people in the room next to us were smoking cigarettes all night and the smoke was wafting under the connecting door between the two rooms. Made it uncomfortable and difficult to breathe at night. As far as security is concerned, it is virtually nonexistent. Our room keys would often stop working and once we were trying to get into our room and a housekeeper simply swiped her keycard and let us into the room. Not safe. When we went to the front desk to ask for new keycards, the man only asked what room we were in and gave us the new cards with no other questions or verification. Made me feel very unsafe and uneasy about staying here. Also I must mention that as we were checking out, I heard numerous complaints about cockroaches in the rooms on the first floor.

The area is rundown and sketchy. Places are abandoned and have wooden boards on windows/doors. Soon as we entered the hotel the woman checking in was rude and not very helpful. We checkin early for an extra $40 fee. The room was very small for two beds. The bathroom shower didn’t even have a door to close it, it was half open. The tv was not a flat screen it was the older boxed ones. No lamps were on the any bed stand. Just had the one main light for the room. Place was not clean and the bathroom seemed unfinished.

This hotel is awful. The staff quite frankly do not care, very rarely cleaned our room or gave us new towels. Practically had to go to reception everyday to ask for them. The price to pay staying here is ridiculous when there is another hotel a lot better that is a minute around the corner.

When we arrived they checked us in and sent us to the building next door that was nothing like the pictures online. The building had no one at the front. You had to keep running to the main building if you needed anything. The beds were not comfortable at all and we did kill two cockroaches. We had to keep asking for clean towels.

Terrible experience. The first room we received the beds were undone and bathroom dirty. The second room we received was barely better there was blood on the pillow cases sand on the bed and only 1 towel and no tv in the room. When asked about the tv they said not all rooms had a tv although it is included in the amenities and offered no discount or to even provide one. Only reason we kept the reservation because it was paid and we literally only needed it for a few hours before flying home. The only good thing about the property is the location near the beach but the area is a little sketchy we had a homeless person throw a bottle of water at us from an abandoned rooftop. Not worth the money I’d pay a bit more next time to be in a cleaner establishment.

At check in; the music was so loud you could hardly hear the person behind the counter. No working TV in the room. No simple things such as lamps on the night stands or waste cans. Mold in the bathroom showers. Parking is in the street by meter only. On a positive point, it is close to the beach and walking distance to several good restaurants.

The location is the only good thing about this hotel. The building itself is very old and unkempt. The door was rickety and could easily be kicked in. The bed was in awful shape. The air conditioner barely worked. People were opening smoking pot in the hallways all weekend long. They advertise that they have parking, but everything is on-street pay-to-park, where you are competing with beach goers for spots. Twice over the weekend, I had to park in a public lot four blocks away. And on top of that, they up charge you $15/day upon arrival go for a ‘resort fee’. Do yourself a favor and pick a different hotel. This one is non-refundable, which I found out as soon as I arrived.

Major upgrade for the furnitures.
It wasn't what i expected it to be. There is no microwave in the room so i couldn't keep my kids leftovers so my kids was not happy about that. The beds need a major upgrade because it feels like you are going to fall when trying to rollover. The bed feels broken.

It was clean and the view on the veranda was very nice. The staff members was very friendly. They could add some amenities such as coffee and more channels on the TV. The bathroom door in room 210 was coming off the hinge. They could use some artwork on the walls in the rooms to reflect the art/deco of the area. Lots of places to eat within walking distance.

Excellent location, but poor condition, no microwave, no ice, no bathroom air, A/C with mold, didn’t change bed sheets every day, towels in poor condition and not well cleaned( one was full human body hair) They add to much odor killer baking soda to carpet to hide it’s true condition. Photos and description of hotel not a good representation of the hotel.

I liked that it was in walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and minutes away from everything else. The gentleman who checked us in that evening was very nice and helpful. I didn't like the poorly cleaned room, there was mold in the air conditioning system that flared up my allergies, it smelled of urine, there were roaches, and very few outlets to charge phones. I was awakened at 4:45 am by the person in the next room that was talking so loud it seemed he was in the room with us.

I booked the room with a balcony which is oceanfront. The balcony was shared with the room next door and mine didn't get any sun in the day time. The room was big with a double bed, tv cabinet, table 2 chairs and fridge. The blinds didint all come down and didn't block the morning light. But it did have a view of the ocean from lying in bed. The bed was comfortable enough and quite clean (apart from above the headboard). Toiletries in the bathroom were good and the internet worked most of the time. A phone in the room would have been great to call reception when the english man next door tried to kick the door down at midnight. It was scary and solo i didn't feel able to get up and ask him to stop. In the morning the lady at Reception asked why I didnt call them- no phone in the room and I would have had to search online for the telephone number which meant alerting the agressive man to my presence. Overall the location was good, hotel had a lift and fridge, the area is ok and parking on the street or nearby carpark is $10 a day or $1 per hour.

The door from the bathroom was falling apart and wouldn’t close, the shower had no actual separation from the bathroom floor and shower . It’s hard to explain but imagine going inside the bathroom and in front of the toilet a shower head with a curtain meanwhile it’s the same floor so the whole bathroom gets wet ... strange and with a random nasty chair in it
