Nice hotel, great location.
Hotel location great for short walk into old town. Bit noisy at night with load music close by at 0100am. Would stay again.

Well-located, tiny rooms but friendly staff
Located off a nice little plaza with good food options and a short walk to major sights. Rooms are tiny, but clean and neat. Like many hotels in Spain, it seems, walls aren't thick enough to insulate against noisy neighbors. Staff are friendly and helpful. Wifi is great. Hot water is slow to come, but just give it a minute.

Small, comfortable hotel in a convenient location. Close to the Roman Theatre/Amphitheatre, the beautiful museum and the centre of the town. The hotel is simple, but clean and comfortable, well priced, the staff are friendly and helpful. There is some free on-street parking nearby (but very hard to find an available space), and also paid on-street parking just down the street. Recommended if you are visiting Mérida for a few days.

The lady at front desk was so nice and friendly. She helped modify our booking since I made an error of one person and yu get a very small bed. Y wife and I appreciated her help changing the reservation and added a night. She only charged a few Euros more. She recommended the best restaurants and would stay again. Surely the lowest cost hotel of our three month holiday. Much different than big cities like Madrid, Casablanca and Lisbon. Thanks.

Updated hotel in central location
The hotel is located so that you can walk to the restaurant and shopping areas. It is also easy to access all the amazing Roman ruins. The best I have seen in my travels. Pay to visit all with your first ticket. The hotel has some communal areas for relaxing and getting a coffee or tea. The hotel does not have breakfast but it is a short walk to a cafe. The reception staff were excellent.

It seems the hotel has been refurbished but it lacks the basics of modern comfort - hot water (in a few instances) and Internet very unreliable, practically unusable. The room was very small with poor shower drain as well.

OK... This hotel has spent a lot of dollars on upgrading to an ultra modern hotel. Staff was great, location was great, quiet, clean the marble stair treads with red LED backlighting looked fantastic. BUT...the shower controls were so hi tec I couldn’t change the water temp. A staff member came to my room and fixed it but it took him 5 minutes or so to fix it. The lights in the hall are motion controlled, but I would have to walk 1/3 of the way down a dark hall way before they would come on. I couldn’t get an internet connection in my room. Staff said it was my iPhone 6 but I saw them changing the relay antenna in the hall the day I checked out. Go figure. I finally walked down to the ‘common’ to to connect to the internet. A vending machine there had caned beer for 1.5 euros. I selected one and the machine went through an elaborate process to dispense it. When I got it, I opened it and it sprayed all over the room from being shook up! They have a ‘cafeteria’ room with an adjacent preparation room. The preparation room had some coffee packets you could buy for ,50 euro but no refrigerator, no nothing but a toaster oven and a microwave. I guess one was suppose to order a delivery meal. I never saw anyone in either room. That said, the hotel is in a great location to walk to all the marvelous Roman Ruins in Merida. The Vettonia has great potential but the need to get the bugs worked out of the advanced technical features they have installed.

Clean hotel
Quiet hotel! Clean room! The air conditioning worked! I could use the WiFi connection for Skype. Great people. The hotel has no parking but I used Parking Calle Atarazanas which is quite close. All tourist attractions are within walking distance.

Very good location for all the sights
Great location and great value for the reasonable cost of the hotel. Thin walls which I had already read in other reviews so expected it but wasn’t a big problem once the neighbours turned off their tv. Clean and compact. Comfortable beds.

Free street parking. The hotel is newer with a minimalist IKEA style. Comfortable and clean. Smallish room but functional. Walking distance to all attractions. The Roman ruins were amazing.

Small, no frills room close to the center of town. Clean and comfortable, staff had limited English (to match our limited Spanish) but we're extremely accommodating and friendly.

Easy check-in. We were early and they let us drop off our bags. They gave us a map and directions to the historic sights of Merida. There was heat in the room which was pleasant. Everything was spotless, and the beds were very comfortable.

Beautiful, new, very nice hotel. Very close to everything there is to see. Nice beds, good pillows, good shower. Everything good. The only not excellent thing is that the walls are thin and it can be a little bit noisy. Nothing that a good day of "touristing" won't take care of. Excellent for the price

Excellent location, with free parking
Well maintained and clean hotel, close to all the sights, and with free parking right in front of the hotel. The parking is a bit hit or miss -- very tight when we arrived, but plentiful later on in the day. There seems to be much more free street parking around the hotel if the street is packed. The staff were very friendly and gave us excellent advice on what to see, prices, where to eat and anything else we had questions about. The only downside is that the hotel bill was settled automatically in dollars, with the card used to hold the reservation (no choice of using another card), not in euros as Expedia states, and the exchange rate was terrible, at least 10% above the daily rate. This seems to be a more general problem in Merida, where at a local restaurant we got charged a similar predatory exchange rate and not given a choice of paying in euros.

El alojamiento está muy bien pero no se puede pasar por alto un detalle. Tienen una pequeña sala con infusiones y algo de bollería sin coste. La cápsula de café la cobran a 2 euros (no hay leche) sin aviso en ningún cartel ni check in ni nada. A unos 200 metros por 20 céntimos más te ponen tu café con leche, te lo sirven en la mesa y un mollete con aceite

Estimado José Luis, gracias por su estancia con nosotros.Con respecto al café, las cápsulas evidentemente son de pago, por eso no estás a disposición del cliente como silo está la bollería e infusiones que están colocadas para que se puedan consumir de forma gratuita. Además, también tenemos leche, guardada en el frigorífico y que tampoco está al alcance del cliente. A la hora de pedir el café en recepción, se ofrece solo o con leche.En el check-in se informa al cliente de que solo ofrecemos café y que pueden desayunar en la cafetería o churrería que están justo al lado.
