In the heart of three valleys, this amazing ski area is one of the largest in the world. Enjoy snow sports or watch world-class racing competitors.

For some of the best skiing in the French Alps, visit Méribel Ski Resort. The area has over 400 miles (600 kilometres) of marked trails offering rewarding experiences for beginner to expert skiers. Hike or snowshoe along circuit trails. Take the Mont Vallon Gondola to enjoy panoramic views from nearly 10,000 feet (2,950 metres).

The resort’s premier attractions are the fantastic snow-covered slopes. With access to the Three Valleys’ more than 300 runs, over 90 miles (150 kilometres) of cross-country trails and nearly 200 lifts, find plenty of uncrowded space to test your skills. For additional challenges, try the guided off-piste skiing, winter camping and glacier skiing.

The site frequently hosts world-class events, including the World Cup competitions in Alpine skiing and mountain biking. Pick your favourite racers and follow their progress.

Families are very welcome at Méribel Ski Resort. Bring small children to the “Piou Piou” where kids from 18 months to 5 will be cared for by a professional. The younger ones will play games and have an introduction to mountain life and, because they can start their ski lessons at age 3, they will be well on their way to becoming future champions. Sign up older children for expert instruction in skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, cross country skiing and freestyle. After skiing, bring your whole clan to the Kenotheque game library.

Off the slopes, go to Olympic Park. Skate on the hockey rink used for the 1992 Albertville Olympics. Relax in the fitness centre and spa. Find exquisite après-ski wear in boutique shops and show off your new clothes while dining and dancing at some of the many restaurants and bars or the lively nightclub.

Book accommodation and reserve tickets online so you can skip the ticket counter and go directly to the slopes. Rent equipment and arrange guides at the resort. Inquire about special equipment and monitoring guides to provide an enjoyable ski experience for visitors with handicaps. Great snow conditions and high tech infrastructure allow skiing for 5 months, with enjoyable non-snow activities the rest of the year.

Méribel Ski Resort is near Moutiers in the Tarentaise Valley. Drive or take a shuttle bus here from Geneva, Switzerland or Lyon, France in just over 2 hours. Then enjoy the fun on the French Alps and in the valleys of Méribel.
