Fall couple’s getaway
Lovely historic inn and owners clearly invested in making their guests happy. From the game room to the delicious breakfast- all was terrific. The rosemary room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was small, and we did miss having a tv- but made do with our novels and each other instead.

A wonderful base for your New Hampshire touring
We were met by both Kevin and Karen, the proprietors, given a tour, brought to a comfortable room, and fed two wonderful breakfasts. A clean, historical property with unique rooms and comfortable beds with all amenities.... even a pool when it is warm. We loved it and will be back.

Cute historic B&B
Very comfortable and conveniently located. Decor and atmosphere true to historic era with modern day amenities. Breakfast was great and the grounds are beautiful! We will absolutely be returning!

Excellent stay! Can’t ask for much better owners! First gave a quick tour and history of the property which was great. Property was extremely clean and accommodating. Highly recommend for any travelers in the area.

Cozy inn
A very cozy 1763 house beautifully decorated with a wrlcoming fire awaiting visitors. Karen and Kevin were very welcoming. Played table games, then went to our room and had a fire in our fireplace in the room! We will definitely be back!

A true gem
Karen and Kevin were perfect hosts at this historic and beautifully maintained inn. Comfortable, beautiful pool area, game room, sitting areas. Unique rooms, small but consistent with the history of such places and very user friendly. Best place we have ever stayed. Will definitely return!!

This inn is splendid. The inn itself and the rooms are decorated beautifully and comfortably. The grounds surrounding the inn are amazing. Plentiful flowers and plants, a fire in the firepit at night, beautiful large swimming pool, delightful breakfasts. Plenty of games, books, pool table and shuffleboard table to enjoy. Quiet area but still close to Meredith downtown and Weirs beach.

Old property made into a B&B. Owners more interested in their cluttering antique collection than guest satisfaction. Bathroom was too small. Knees hit the sink base when sitting on the toilet. Shower too small to try to use. Sunlight directly in the room at sunrise (6AM). No way to darken the room. Worthless noise machine but no clock, radio or TV to check the weather or news. Mexican fritatas for breakfast as the only item on the menu. Found it easier to drive three hours home for a shower and breakfast. Restrictions were conveyed AFTER the non-refundable rreservation was made. Terrible experience. Don't think we can trust travelocity after this disaster.

We continue to do everything within our abilities to make our 250yr Old Inn/Home provide modern day conveniences that meet the restrictions of being a property on the NH State Register of Historic Places. As a B&B, we are limited by the NH State Food Service License to only provide a limited breakfast option which doesn't allow for "to order" specialty options for the well being of our guests. We are proud of the consistently highly rated reviews provided by guests across all providers including Trip Advisor, Google Reviews, Expedia, Hotels.com and others. Please feel free to call us directly to discuss as we did not get the opportunity to address any of your concerns during the visit.

The staff is lovely and accommodating. The building itself is historically charming and looked exactly as advertised. We did however have WiFi issues and felt the room itself was dated. We kept running out of hot water and the bathroom smelled like mold. a few upgrades to the property are necessary to make this a 5 star experience.

Appreciate the note and feedback. We are always looking to improve what is within our control. The severe storms that knocked out power/internet/wifi just before you arrived impacted the wifi until we were able to get the provider out to the Inn to replace the nodes, everything was fine after that. The Sugar Shack that you were in is detached from the building and a restored seasonal Cabin so the excessive rain we had caused a lot of issues with standing water and damp odor everywhere. We will continue to work on making the experience the best possible and value your input. Regards

Old Fashioned Inn - warm stay
Hosts are VERY nice. They went out of their way to make us feel at home including evening fire and marshmallows and homemade granola and peach french toast was really nice.

what a wonderful place with New England charm! I can't say enough about the Inn Keepers. They are so accommodating and pleasant. The breakfasts they served were gourmet and delicious!

Lynn and Mark are the spark of life in this Inn. We have never met two owners more interested in taking care of their guests. We were welcomed at the door and taken care of throughout our stay. Lynn and Mark never forget a guest’s name which makes it all the more personal. The Inn is picturesque and each room is unique and well appointed. If you come, like we did, to take pictures of the fall foliage you won’t be disappointed by the landscaping and gardening around the Inn. Love this place. We’ll be back.

Thank you for your review Pete & Diane and for staying with us during the fall. This is hard to believe but we had great color until early November! Then it got cold and the wind blew pretty much all of them off overnight. Literally. Only had to blow the leaves once this season! You give us too much credit though for remembering names. Always room for improvement on my part!
