A great place to stay when taking in a show on Exhibition Street. Close to shopping mall and public transport.

Fine for a business tripPosted 02/03/2014
Small rooms. But comfy bed and shower is good. Room were clean. But the hotel housekeeping needs to be aware of their environmental consequences. Everyday they dispose of the soap I was using. Although I left a message saying 'Please do not trash the soap. I will use it again', housekeeper keep disposing of.

Average hotelPosted 01/03/2014
I was on the 2nd floor my room had a large window with a view of a filty run down air conditioning chute of the building next door, very disappointing when you base the view of photos seen prior to booking

Great staff, pity about the room.Posted 26/02/2014
Pros: The staff were so professional, friendly and helpful - one of the best groups I have come across in all my years.
Cons: TLC in the rooms, get rid of the vending machine off each floor and put it in the foyer.
The staff were excellent and the location was excellent. It is a shame the room made for one of the worst hotel stays I have had, I didn't get a good night sleep for several days. Vending machine outside the non-soundproof door that woke me in the night as people got a midnight snack. Bathroom was clean but very very worn out with cracked tiles and damaged toilet seat. The shower water pressure changed and went from cold to hot without changing the hot-cold taps. Air-conditioning unit and fridge made so much noise I had to keep them turned off which was not ideal during the hot weather.

Pros: clean, great location, overall, good hotel for the money I spent.great deal
Cons: it would have been nicer if the staff were more friendly
Location: lots of restaurant, all kinds of food!
the room is small, but clean, nice and comfortable, good enough to stay a few nights in Melbourne. it is so close to Chinatown ,lots lots of delicious food.I love that! easy to get a taxi to go to the airport. just tell the reception 5 minutes ahead, the taxi is outside waiting, wow,I am impressed. if the staff had been more friendly,it would have been nicer!

City centre so expect noisy nights at weekends.Posted 17/02/2014
Pros: Convenient for shopping in city centre.
Twin room was very tiny but adequately clean. BUT the walls were paper thin. We could hear conversations next door in both directions, and every time next door came in or out the door slammed very loudly so that the whole wall shook. Also, our room faced onto the lifts and groups of returning guests treated the hallway as a private space for their loud conversations at all hours of the night. There was also a vending machine in the corridor against our bedroom wall and around which people congregated. The noise of the vending machine and the people made it impossible to sleep. The toilet cystern was leaking and the water ran all night - the cyctern needs to be fixed.

Nice hotel in city centrePosted 17/02/2014
Pros: Excellent location in the city centre. Clean, comfortable rooms with an excellent shower. Friendly staff.
Cons: Decor is a little dated.
Location: City centre location. Close to Chinatown, Bourke St mall, Southbank, Federation Square, Victoria market.
We stayed two nights in a twin room. The room was small but very clean, comfortable and well serviced. Excellent shower, comfortable beds, enough room to store our bags, clothes, etc. No noise from outside even though you are in the city centre. Hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. Tourist information is available in the lobby. Breakfast was very good. We stored our bags after checkout which was done efficiently and quickly. Location of the hotel is excellent. It is walking distance from all transport and attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I would definitely stay here again. Good value, excellent location, clean and comfortable.

Pros: Location is great. Close to everything you need.
We go to melbourne regularly and have stayed in some beautiful places with good prices, this time round our visit also fell on valentines day, so we were quite stuck for choice. This hotel was quite expensive this weekend, which we didn't mind at all, but when we walked into our room wow it was very small, needed updated and we looked out onto a wall, which if the windows could open I'm sure we could of touched. BUT you couldn't get any better for location, walking distance to most attractions and the staff were friendly.
