Skip the hotel breakfast which is really expensive & eat at any of the multiple options nearby. We really enjoyed the convenience & luxurious feel of this hotel."

"We especially liked the location. It was convenient for us to walk from the train station to the hotel with our luggage. (We are a couple in our early seventies.) After checking in, the hotel's location allowed us to walk to Marienplatz in time to watch the 5:00 performance of the Glockenspiel. The breakfast was great!"

"The hotel was clean and well maintained and we had a comfortable stay. The location is good and very convenient for the main train station and easily walkable to the city centre. However please note that there are no reception staff onsite. Should you have an issue you have to contact them via phone or email. Check-in is via a machine in a small vestibule in the entrance. This poor design results in you and your luggage blocking the entrance during the process. Also we booked a room that [at the time of booking and during the stay] was advertised by Expedia as having a kitchenette. However on arrival we found the kitchenette to be behind locked cupboard doors. We only had access to the mini fridge but not the hotplate, sink, crockery etc. We contacted the reception by email and were informed that we could only access the kitchenette on payment of a further €20 per night. If this facility is important to you I would suggest you confirm with Expedia that it is included before booking!"

"The maritim hotel is located near to the Munich central station. If you catch the S5 train from the airport to Munich hauptbahnhof, then it's no more than a 5 minute walk away. On arriving at the hotel, the reception staff were very welcoming when we were checking in and gave us all the information we would need regarding breakfast time and the onsite facilities. We were also given some maps of the centre of Munich and some bottles of water. The room we had booked was okay for our stay, it was as we expected, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet selection was good and the staff in the restaurant were really nice and very helpful (especially when you operated the coffee machine for the first time), something for all tastes. If there was one thing that could be improved, I would say that the hotel should advertise what meals are available in an evening, they may do so, but I couldn't find it. Although we didn't use the swimming pool or sauna, it was good to know that they were there if we wanted. We found all the staff at the hotel to be very friendly and helpful, and we will certainly stay there again on our next trip to Munich. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Maritim Hotel. The location is pretty good with the railway station (ICE, regional train services, SBahn and Ubahn services there) across the road so getting around is easy. The tram stop is also nearby. Marienplatz is around 10 minutes walk, so you can get to the City centre easily."
