It was a very clean and comfortable stay, and the restaurant in the hotel had the best salmon dish I had ever tasted!! All my compliments to the chef!! The main poor point was the setup for the breakfast: given the amount of money we were charged for the room, we expected more than a brown bag with a few select choices for breakfast. For example, we had a choice between either a single small plastic cube of blueberry or raspberry jam. Given that “breakfast included” should encompass multiple choices, we thought this was very stingy and frugal on the hotel’s part. We stayed at the quality inn and suites mont joli a few days prior and they had offered a full breakfast with MULTIPLE choices that you could eat in their dining room, albeit it was served by their staff, which was perfect. A brown bag is very ungenerous however, and we will not be staying at the quality inn and suites due to this.

Thank you for taking the time to complete our survey. We are sorry that our breakfast choices disappointed you. Due to the Covid situation, we had as an indication to remove the buffet and set up a grab and go formula. We wonder if you have received our choices because we have four choices and the small packages of jams that you indicate in your review are only condiments to accompany the breakfast of your choice. We are aware that this is not what our customers are normally used to, but the situation forces us to implement methods that are not suitable for everyone in spite of ourselves. We hope you reconsider our establishment after this situation, so that we can show you what our breakfast is usually .

Great stay!
I had a great stay in Matane! Be it short as we were just stopping to take a break from driving (15 hour commute), I feel like the staff went above and beyond and made the trip memorable. We got a free upgrade in our room. There is a little restaurant in the back which is fantastic, and despite it being busy with Christmas parties and barely an hour before closing, the staff still took fantastic care of us during our evening meal.

Highly recommend
Lovely modern hotel, very comfortable and clean. The restaurant/bar was very lively and the food delicious. Will stay here anytime overnighting in Matane.

Great start to or hunting trip.
We were greeted warmly by the staff. There were no problems with the reservation I had made. Our room was ready, very clean and the bathroom was exceptionally spotless. We had supper at their restaurant, but besides being convenient (no need to drive around), the service was great, the food was very good and the prices very reasonable. We have been to Matane on several other occasions and stayed at other hotels. If we find ourselves in that area again we will definitely book at the Quality Inn.

Good choice especially for business travellers. Staff is courteous and will go out of their way to help you. Free hot breakfast, and a good one. Very satisfied with our stay at this motel. Only issue is that it is on the edge of town so you may have to drive a couple of kilometers for downtown services.
