"I enjoyed the cleanliness and helpfulness of the staff. They were excellent. I got a private room and found it be adequate. One thing I was surprised about was having to have to buy a towel or other amenities. The private room at that price I believe should have come with a towel or some other amenities. "The whole hotel is very dated. It seems like all they did was to renovate the lobby, so it looks new modern shiny, whereas the rooms are left in the 80s/90s era. We had one of the big rooms, with tatami and also a supposed double bed. The bed was not comfortable at all, and way too small for 2 persons. We ended up sleeping on the futons in the tatami section of the room on the second night. Staff wasn't rude, but not friendly like we will expect of the typical Japanese hospitality. The onsen is...
