2/10 Terrible
"Paid for two room for 3 nights. I booked and called to see if I could get the rooms adjoining or at least next to each other. I was told they had not assigned rooms, but he would make a note. We arrive 3 weeks later, to find they are just on the same floor half a hallway apart. I was frustrated and trying to remain calm while explaining our situation, I have a family of 7 so we need two rooms, but was met with a very combative and aggressive GM, Brandi. She continually interrupted us and would not do anything additional to accommodate us, saying they had no two rooms next to each other (although the room right next to one of ours was empty all weekend). She threatened to cancel my reservations, which after our stay I wish we had. After that exchange we went to our rooms, one smelled terrible, both had not been cleaned for some time with hair and dirt all over the floor. In addition, some outlets didn't work, there were only bulbs in half of the light fixture in the bathroom, the main light in the room strobed, the trash in the hall was overflowing for much of the first day and the next (having to side step to go through the doorway), and breakfast was extremely lacking and not ready on time, should have been 6 AM, but was not ready till after 8AM the first day. We didn't even go to it, there was nothing but two choices of cereal and waffles....Spend a few more dollars and stay somewhere else, this place is not even fit for a dog to stay in."

"So very loud! Loud guests above us made for a less than restful stay. Staff was kind and helpful, breakfast was lackluster and the cleanliness was questionable. Lots of long hairs in the shower. Wish I had a better review, but this was just okay."

"I made a reservation here because it was one of the few in this part of town to include breakfast…WARNING! I was pressed for time before the last round of a golf tournament so all I needed was some eggs and sausage or bacon. You know, the standard almost every hotel provides. There were a few other options but it was nothing special… just a hotel breakfast. So I’m hurrying to get to the course and up comes a young lady with a charge slip for $13.87. I told her I wouldn’t sign it because my res was “including breakfast”. She picked up the charge and walked away. I thought nothing more of it until I received an email later in the day with the charges posted to my credit card. The room wasn’t cheap, the hotel was fairly quiet and I have no problem with the accommodations. But I’ll never stay here again. I feel like the victim of a “bait and switch”."

"There was no air conditioning in the lobby or hallways, which made for a hot/muggy experience. The side door (closest to the elevator) was "out of order" for the 2 days we stayed.The elevator was not very clean, and had a used band aid, on the floor for the entire stay. There was no safety certificate posted for the elevator, which might not seem like a big deal, but the elevator was slow and got "stuck" at each floor, for a brief period before the doors opened. The breakfast was very underwhelming. there was not a lot of selection, and what was there was old and cold. We have stayed at this same hotel many different times, in the past 10 years, but we decided there has been such a decline in quality, we will no longer stay her, at Parkwood."

"Miss Aubrey checked us in. She was professional, friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, beds comfortable and clean. Breakfast was excellent . Biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage, waffles, fried onions and peppers and that was the hot breakfast. An assortment of cold breakfast food was available as well. We met Miss Virginia the chef. She was a military cook for nine years. She loves cooking and adds much to the menu. We walked out with chocolate chip cookies straight from the oven. The whole experience was good."

"I have rented many VRBO’s and this one is by far the best one I have rented. The house is amazing and is fully stocked with everything you need and things you didn’t even know you needed. The hosts are so thoughtful in making their home so inviting and enjoyable. Our group also loved the outside areas including pool, hot tub and fire pit making s’mores."
