You can hang onto the edge of the beautiful pool and gaze at the beach, water and islands below. There's an outdoor lounge and a restaurant with really good food. The service is top notch. "My wife and I stayed at Makanas for 10 nights on May 2024. We definitely enjoyed our stay. The studio is nice ans has everything for the stay. The staff (Vane and Leysi are the best) was awesome and prepared the best waffles and gallo pinto ever for breakfast! I would HIGHLY recomend that if you did not rent a 4 wheeler or a car, find somewhere else to stay because Makanas is very far as a walking distance from either bars/restaurants/supermarkets, and taxis are extremely expensive "

"We had a great spring break at Havana Lodge in Malpaís. The lodge was beautiful, the pool was amazing, and the location was perfect. When we had questions, they were answered within minutes. We couldn’t light the grill, and someone was over within 5 minutes to assist. I’d love to go back. So relaxing."
