the whole experience was OK not great. Apart from the breakfast all other dining experience in the hotel was terrible. I would not advise going for half board or all inclusive. hotel room for the 4 of us was not big enough very little space to move around. the entertainment was viewable, the kids were happy.

The hotel is really nice. The breakfast is extraordinary with an en endless variety, I have ever seen in so many good hotels that I have stayed at. There are so many swimming pools and all very clean, so it was really nice. There is enough parking available on the streets to park the car, and it is free of charge 24*7. The two things which I did not like are - there is not enough sound proofing in the rooms, so when someone is talking and passing in the lobby, it was clearly heard in the room. And the second is the room A/C was not so effective and was also noisy, making it a bit irritable during the sleep.

Throughly enjoyed my me time here
I found hotel lovely , lovely if that's what you want , great for young families , plenty organised and lovely kids pools and waterpark , good food , great drinks , lifts weren't a problem I was on 7th floor , lovely maid , came back to room and they put a bottle of bubbly for my birthday . Which was fantastic and made my day . Nothing was a problem handy 2 minutes to beach n centre.

Nice enough hotel and good value. Few bits to smarten up, no different to anywhere else. Biggest frustrations were the rules with the swimming pools. Can’t enter the area (inc grabbing a sun lounger) until 10am (never experienced this before), and lifeguards are grumpy beyond words and chastise the kids for anything bar swimming on the surface, and there’s no inflatables allowed, which my kids love (wagon wheels etc). Food was very limited by choice, average quality and doesn’t change much day to day. Nothing special and clearly regurgitated from breakfast to lunch to tea, but it was ok. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful and it’s brilliantly located for the water park and the Pirates of Majorca show (both five min away and excellent).

Beautiful hotel excellent for family.nice and clean. Children loved the the pools. Plenty of sun beds. Downside really are the food, not good at all. The catering staff should be changed immediately. Night entertainment good in the weekend. But during the week is waste of time.

Huge pool for toddlers
We stayed 3 days here in Aug 2021 with 1.5 year old daughter. Millions of hotels in Mallorca but there's only few hotels having pool for toddlers with fountain and attraction. Sol Barbados is only 1 hotel in Palma area with that kind of nice pool as my search. in addition, it's located good place and also price friendly. i recommend here for family with toddler.

Beautiful hotel! Amazing animation team especially Sofia ! Cocktails were lovely plus live entertainment , and food was good . Downside some members of staff were on grumpy side . Hotel can get pretty noisy at night time with people coming in different times so sleep gets really broken

I do not recommend the hotel. The price is not justified by conditions. The food is poor in quality, the unconsumed food is served at the following meals. The fruits are not edible does not look good. The rooms do not have a minimum of facilities for heating water or coffee. These devices were for a fee. The pools are ok for kids ..

We have a few pros and cons about our stay, the biggest cons would be the kids splash park closing on October 1st. Nowhere on the hotel website does it show this date and this was a big reason we booked this hotel. Not only the park is closed, but also the sports bar next to it for some reason. Another con is some of the bar staff and restaurant staff, they make you feel like more of an inconvenience than a guest. I sometimes felt like I was annoying the man at the bar just asking for a drink! The pools which were open were also not heated. They were absolutely freezing. We went with our 3 year old and honestly apart from the kids club there wasn't a lot for him to do. We went in the pool a few days, but he got so cold we never kept in there for long. The rooms are also very barebones, no kettle or drinks. You have an empty fridge that you can keep things in but that's about it. Sound can also be an issue, if you're a light sleeper you will be woken up by people in the hallways, and even the room next to you. The pros would be the location for us, the beach is a very short walk away and is absolutely amazing. The sea was warmer than our pool at the hotel. Another pro was the kids club, and the activity staff. They were always happy and always tried to make sure there was something to do. They were great with our little one too. Special mention to Carlos who our son always enjoyed seeing around. Overall I would say we might come back but in season!

Were do I start !!!!! There was 6 different pools that the kids loved with slides to chilled pools, the all inclusive drinks were fantastic especially the frozen strawberry daiquiris as well as strongbow cider. The food had so much choice and a themed night every night,a pasta chef that made your choice of pasta and sauce and breakfast a chef to for freshly made omelettes as well a big choice of other foods.Rooms were spotless

Pros- breakfast, pools, choice of drinks, rooms Negs- luggage room is unattended so felt unsafe to leave bags, food at dinner and lunch not so great, keep your keycard away from your phone, had to have mine reset 3 times

Nice family family hotel
Stayed 4 nights in Sol Barbados (mid April). This time of year is out of season so many hotels were closed as opposed to fully booked as shown on Expedia. Arrived before check in time and greeted by friendly staff, one of our rooms was ready early the other was ready by the check in time. The hotel is large, with numerous pools but the children’s area / pool was closed off, there was a lot of entertainment for children throughout the day. Rooms were basic and could of done with a thorough clean. Bed was comfortable, had some great sleeps! Breakfast was sufficient and had many options, dinner was very bland a lot of fish options but we planned to eat out anyway. The hotel is situated at the opposite end of the strip about 10+ mins walk - in a quiet location. There is a short cut and access to the beach via the pool but there are several steep steps and probably not ideal during the night. Plenty of shops around for almost everything, the bus 104 takes you into Palma or a taxi for approx €25. Plenty of restaurants on the beach front and an age appropriate ( 50s) night club called stereo that catered for all ages. It’s worth exploring other areas also, jump on the 104 and and see the towns near by. There are also boat rides and a lovely excursion in to soller a town situated by the mountains via an antique train. Overall we had a lovely stay at the Sol Barbados, staff were very friendly and helpful, hotel was comfortable, breakfast was good, dinner okay.
