This hotel is in the perfect location in Malaga. It's close to everything you would want to see and do and has shops, bars and restaurants on the doorstep. It's only 20 minutes from the airport, the rooms are lovely and I'd highly recommend it.
Hotel was a nice experience. Quality was what was seen in the bullding layout as well as the staff who represented NH Group. This I felt was most important.
The cleanliness of the hotel was very good. Staff were professional from the receptionists, restuarant staff right throught to the cleaning staff's courtesy.
Upon our arrival at Hotel Petit Palace Plaza Málaga, we were struck by the immediate friendliness of the staff and their willingness to accommodate our requests and make us feel right at home from the start. We were also impressed by the cleanliness of the entire facility. Overall, the hotel has a charming and unique character that is definitely European chic. Our room was spacious, neat, and efficient—and we were fortunate enough to have balconies with a beautiful view of the Cathedral tower. The air conditioning in the room was superb. Comfortable bed. The room even had a complimentary laptop available for our use, in addition to the free Wifi supplied by the hotel. The bathroom was surprisingly roomy by European standards, and the shower gave great water pressure. The water massage feature was a great amenity at the end of a long day of sightseeing. Toiletries were nice and in good supply—replenished daily. Breakfast was a vast array of hot and cold selections—eggs prepared in several different ways, bacon and/or sausage, frittatas, a large selection of cold meats and cheeses, cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit and fresh juices—and fresh espresso and cappuccino available in seconds. The young woman in the breakfast room takes great pride in the manner in which she presents the breakfast offerings, and she and the rest of the staff remain helpful throughout the meal. In addition, this hotel is centrally located—thereby requiring only a brief walk in any direction to see all the
"Perfect location to experience the whole of Malaga"
We have stayed here before & will be staying again. We love Malaga & have visited many times. This is the best hotel for us so we won't be trying any more hotels now that we know this one. Staff are happy & give excellent service. The vibrant port , the old city , beaches , shopping , park & castle are all close by so you can enjoy a stroll. Highly recommended by us.
My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel was beautiful and some staff were very friendly. The only down side is that the hotel is not close to the nicer parts of Malaga or particularly close to good restaurants that speak English.
"Nice Hotel, well placed for visits to the old town"
Good standards throughout the hotel in every aspect. We stayed for 5 nights B&B. room was comfortable, clean, well appointed. The double bed was BIG and firm and very comfortable, and the ensuite was spacious - it had double sinks and a Bidet (every home should have one) . . marvellous.
Breakfast was a self serve/buffet and included freshly prepared fruit, fruit juices, cereals, and a variety of hot and cold foods which were very close to a "full English" plus the continental and Eastern European cold starters, pastries etc.
(The only down side were the coffee/tea machines products which never taste like they should. I haven't found any hotels that can make these things make good coffee!)
We can't comment on the restaurant as we didn't use it (at one end it has a giant TV screen which showed football/sports in a sort of lounge area).
The hotel was just across the bridge from the old town - a pedestrian precinct - which was buzzing every day and every night especially Friday and Saturday. Loads of great restaurants, Tapas bars, shops for everything, Clubs and night life, music and houses a Theatre or two and cinemas etc.
(NB Malaga seems to have a separate museum for everything/anything. The Picasso Museum, in my opinion does not represent his greatest collection of works, and is not worth the cost unless you a big fan of Pablo & Cubism.)
Beaches were great too, and the prom leading to the cruise-ship terminal is lined with quality shops/market stalls and good restaurants
