"Beautiful location and immaculate hotel"
We only stayed for a long weekend but would have loved to stay longer to experience more of the facilities, the only criticism would be that youhave to pay for a beach bed whereas the pool beds are free of charge which was a shame. The food in the beach bar/restaurant was lovely and the staff very attentive. Would love to return.

"Nice hotel friendly staff."
Very nice hotel and friendly staff. A little bit far from the beach and the central, but more or less good location. I can highly recommend the place.

"Vincci selection, Malaga"
Great location with loads of shops and alleyways. When you get to Malaga airport and everyone gets the train south to fuengirolla, you go north all the way to Malaga Centro (11 mins and £2 each). Historic centre is very Spanish with great atmosphere at night. Feels really safe and secure. Get on a bike (£10 all day) and travel down the beach toward Pedregalejo (cycle hire is from an English lady based in a back street shop 30 yards from the information centre near the port entrance). Rioja 2 € per glass, what could be better. Alcazabar and Gibralfora well worth a visit, walking up the hill is not for the faint hearted. This is like Barcelona but a lot cheaper, cleaner and traditionally Spanish.

"Very close to the city centre"
The hotel is a few minutes walk from the city centre and waterfront area, which meant we could walk everywhere. The reception staff were welcoming on our arrival, and continued to provide advice throughout our stay. Our room was at the rear of the hotel, quiet and was perfectly clean with ample wardrobe/cupboard space. The bathroom was spacious and clean. We didn't have breakfast during our stay, but we did have one evening meal and found this to be of a decent quality. The cafeteria/bar staff were extremely busy but were always friendly. We knew the hotel did not provide tea/coffee facilities in the room so we took our own kettle and purchased milk from the nearby supermarket which we kept in the fridge in the room.

"Excellent location"
Malaga is a friendly, vibrant and interesting city which is easy to get around on foot or public transport. Train station ( Malaga Centro) is only a few minutes walk from the Malaga Centro Hotel, offering an excellent ( and cheap) mode of transport to nearby resorts including Fuengirola. Malaga has a lot to offer the visitor including historic sites, beach and port and great restaurants. But most of all Malaga offers a warm and friendly welcome to visitors from local people.

"Good spot to stay for a few days."
In the heart of the city, a short walk from the catheral and the new waterfront. Not must chat with the staff but quick and friendly service. Breakfast was part of the deal and it was fresh with very nice bread and cheese.Coffee machine was a little hard to get to a peek times. Our room and bathroom were lovely high on the seventh floor. Very good value for price.

"Surprisingly nice upscale hotel"
We had a standard room and the twin beds squeaked....we spoke to the front desk and they couldn't have been more accomodating - they upgraded us to a room with an actual queen bed (non squeaking) and a balcony overlooking the harbor - lovely and very comfortable. I usually stay in smaller, more 'boutique' hotels and was pleasantly surprised with the Marriot. Great rooftop bar and pool, would recommend, but stay in a superior room.

"Ideal for railway station"
The Monte Malaga was chosen by us because of its location within walking distance of the railway station as we intended to visit Cordoba. The rail link to the airport is also an advantage. There's a 'beach', 10 minute stroll away, where you can relax, get some beer, etc. and savour the grilled sardines. The hotel offers a good selection of buffet food at breakfast, the coffee machines being a bit confusing at first. The staff were very efficient and helpful. In general, the hotel seemed very popular. There were a few business conventions and coach tour parties. On the whole we had a pleasant and relaxing stay at the Monte Malaga.
