We rented a 2 bed apartment via Expedia/Marriott for a week in April. We were very pleasantly surprised by the size and quality of the apartment(s), by the excellent facilities for our children (6 and 12) and by the very excellent staff service we received. Would recommend to any families looking for an upmarket self catering holiday where you're getting a daily room clean, full onsite services and very high standard of facilities for the children. The whole place is well kept, felt like a high four star bordering on five star resort so a real bargain. We went just before the main Easter holidays so it was also pleasing quiet and relaxing.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Marbella Playa Hotel! The employees were friendly, although a bit disorganized when it came to payment and charging things to the room (not unusual for Spain.) The pool and beach facilities were great, although you have to pay extra for the sun beds on the beach. A taxi or car rental is needed to get to Marbella center. If you miss breakfast you can't order food until 12:30 when the beach bar opens, but there is an Open Cor supermarket about 5 minutes walk from the hotel so that was convenient. The water slides and kiddie pool looked fun, I would definitely recommend this to families with children, however as students in our early 20's we still had a great time.
They made our stay very comfortable by asking us our opinions about the hotel and if there is anything they can improve on. We asked for a kettle in our room and they provided one in less than 20 minutes with a choice of tea and coffees.
TV fees in the room was good with plenty of choices from films to bbc news.
The cleaning staff were very good and friendly. We got a room upgrade and had lovely sea views. 100 percent grade for this hotel.
Great hotel in a wonderful location, everything you could wish for outside the hotel was a stones throw away.
The staff were all very helpful and friendly and it was a very relaxing place to stay.
My only criticism was that if travelling by road to the hotel, then it was extremely difficult to locate and once you did then the car park was equally difficult to find. The hotel is located in a paved area and is not accessible by road. However, once you have located the car park then a porter comes to your rescue. Very expensive to park your car on a daily basis. Having said that, we had a very nice stay there and will certainly return.

Boasting breathtaking views and an optimum position in the historic quarter of the city, the Balcon de Europa Hotel, Nerja …More
For me and my family, Puente Romano is a haven. Not far from London, the whole place is a perfect get away. I have just loved my 6th visit to the hotel, and this certainly will not be my last. For me it is an annual trip and the hotel cannot be beaten.
