I booked for twin room (2 singles) but got upgraded with triple room with 1 queen bed and 1 singles for absolutely free. With large bed and larger room, who doesn't love that right? We love the hotel ambient and we felt so comfortable!

First impression was the staff was really polite and helpful, even helped carry our luggages from the car till the room.Gives a warm feeling to guest and is very friendly as well.Room is very clean and comfortable especially with the super king size bed that we got.And although there was karaoke session, the double layered windows provided enough sound proofing that my 2 kids could sleep through.Access to food and shops along Jonker was easy as well. The only cons is the staircase to the rooms, it can be a hassle if no one is there to help carry the luggages

Beautiful hotel which is like entering another time. Although this hotel is a little further away from the main area (jonker Walk etc) of Malacca it is worth the trouble - you can walk along the river (about 30 minutes) or take the ferry.
Staff were exceptional, they made everyone feel special and nothing was too troublesome for them. We even had one staff member give us her personal email when we needed to send a form to be printed out.
every detail was perfect, service exemplary, even loved the cutlery. Everyone must try the High Tea

I stayed a couple of night at Galileo guesthouse. My room was small, with no window on the outside, but clean and comfortable. It's located in the middle of the very pleasant old chinatown, 5 minutes from the city bus top. The owner was very helpful and nice. Wifi was working properly.
Just a very minor annoyance and suggestion: When I arrived, the door was locked with a sign "out for lunch" and a phone number that I couldn't reach. I waited for a while before realizing he was inside. Maybe he could add a bell, and change the sign or put a time where he expects to be back.

No swimming pool, but who goes to Melaka to swim. Instead, praise should be accorded to the shower as it contains both the overhead rain shower as well as the regular handheld nozzle (which can also be mounted on a sliding bar), both can be set to be powerful and hot. Very spacious shower area, since they elected not to have a bathtub. The blackout curtains make the room dark even when the sun is at its brightest, (once closed you will bump into things), which is important for those who want to sleep in. Other than that, clean and good with room temp control, parking is easy and located almost right next to the famous blood cockles alley.

Gingerflower Boutique Hotel is a charming little hotel that is conveniently located, with Jonker Walk just a street away and the malls (Pahlawan, Hatten & Mahkota) within walking distance. Hotel staff are very warm, friendly and attentive to our needs - one staff even offered us home-made mango dessert! Rooms are clean, pleasant and of comfortable size. Will definitely stay there again and recommend it to visitors to Malacca.

The staff were incredibly friendly, they really did do everything they could for us.
The beds were incredibly soft.
The roof top area was really cool!
The decor was beautiful and all of the lovely artefacts were gorgeous
The spa was lovely but the pool next to it felt a little exposed to the parking lot - I resolved this by moving my seat to behind a wall. I also think that I would not have like my children to be in the pool had I been having a spa treatment!
I think the insulation between the walls was a little thin - as we could hear next door's t.v. However the carpet in the lobby was worth a remark - so soft - and was so clean that I was happy to walk around everywhere barefoot
