From our check-in experience (Drake was exceptionally helpful. I loved how he suggested to get a drink in the bar and go wander thru the museum space) to our first trip up the elevator (having fun on the live video) to dinner at Proof to the amazing modern art collection - everything was top notch.

Very old hotel, but recently redecorated. New carpet, paint and tile in bathroom. Very clean! Wasn't expecting to have a fridge and microwave in the room--nice surprise. Good breakfast. Only complaint is that they start breakfast at 6:30 during the week but not until 7:00 on the weekend. Almost everyone here at the hotel was here to show livestock--we need to be gone by 7:00, so no breakfast that morning.

yes they're renovating, and it'll be WELL worth it once they're finished. in the meantime, come enjoy the friendly family staff and clean rooms. plenty of smoking rooms for those of you that smoke. can't beat this place and they're right next door to denny's, or you can stay in for their continental-style breakfast. either way, you can't go wrong here.

I must admit, this was my first visit to a B&B, and the only reason for selecting this place was there were no hotels anywhere near Louisville. I only stayed one night for business, but that is all I needed. I was very surprised upon my approach to the house and amazed when the door was opened. What a great place, run by people that love what they do which transcends into excellent customer service. Next time I will be bringing my wife.
