Overall we had a great stay! The art exhibit on the whole first floor was a pleasant surprise - interesting and thought provoking artwork, but not over the top.
The rooms were very nice - well appointed and typical of upscale business hotels.
The bar and restaurant were very nice, although a bit pricey. Dinner for 4 with starters, main, desert, 1 drink and 1 bottle of wine was $280.
Service throughout our stay was great.

Whenever we are in Louisville, my wife and I always stay at the Breckinridge. The pool alone is worth the price! It is a warm-water therapy pool and is about 90 degrees and includes two lap lanes and a shallow side. The hot tube is amazing, and although the pool facility is also a members health club, we basically had it to ourselves on a Sunday night. The room was clean and comfortable with great heat, a good selection of cable channels and a clean bathroom. The morning continental breakfast is not extravagant (cereal, biscuits and gravy, toast, bagels, juice, coffee, etc.) but tasty. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. We will certainly return again!

yes they're renovating, and it'll be WELL worth it once they're finished. in the meantime, come enjoy the friendly family staff and clean rooms. plenty of smoking rooms for those of you that smoke. can't beat this place and they're right next door to denny's, or you can stay in for their continental-style breakfast. either way, you can't go wrong here.

I must admit, this was my first visit to a B&B, and the only reason for selecting this place was there were no hotels anywhere near Louisville. I only stayed one night for business, but that is all I needed. I was very surprised upon my approach to the house and amazed when the door was opened. What a great place, run by people that love what they do which transcends into excellent customer service. Next time I will be bringing my wife.
