I really liked this place, met all of my expectations. Staff, location and amenities were great. Food was good and have lots of options only feed back would be their oriental Buffett food options could use some work. Other than that I would definitely book here again for future stays.

The resort is very clean and feels safe. The staff was friendly and very helpful to our needs. My family and I enjoyed our stay here a lot. It is a smaller resort therefore easier to walk around. entertainment crew was fun and engaging. The only recommendation we have to have better food options. I did not particularly like the food options, especially the beef and chicken dishes and the quality of the meats are subpar. The fruits and vegetables are fresh. Salad bar is excellent. However, I will definitely consider coming back here despite the food choices.

I'm just going to say that we liked this hotel so much that we stayed and extra night, we cancelled our flight get a new one and paid for the night. Food, swimming pool, view, service everything was a 10/10.

Maybe good if u are Expedia members; Felt discriminated for the color of the skin, food was bad and kid felt sick; she puked and had to pay fine of $2000 pesos for getting sick after eating the hotel food. Be extra careful before looking, and please get the reviews from other sites too. Not too many choices when it comes to food. Not a place to be for Los Cabos vacation. I rate this hotel zero Star.

Terrible food. Not a lot of food or entertainment choices. Property is very old. I bought a ocean view King room w/ extra cost but they put me in 2 double. Had to fight to get a room with King size bed. Man at the reception was was very rude. Just simply a very bad experience. I would not recommend this property to anyone.

The staff were absolutely amazing. Our suite was beautiful. The property was lovely. Our family had a great time. My only criticism is the food. Lunch and dinners were mediocre at best, even in the booked restaurants. Breakfasts were better.

The hotel was very clean and we loved the location right on the beach. The rooms were clean and pretty basic - they did have good views facing the ocean. The staff was very nice and accommodating - especially the servers by the pool. They were a good source to get some inside tips on what to do around town. The food was average at best. It's all inclusive so we weren't expecting much, and if you're on a budget then it's perfect. Breakfast buffet was fine, the lunch buffet was ok, and the restaurants at night were ok too, but you really need to leave the hotel to get some good food. San Jose los Cabos was much quieter and slow pace compared to Cabo San Lucas, which is about a 25 minute Uber ride away. Plaza Mijares, is a quaint downtown area about 3/4 mile from the hotel. Pretty much the only thing happening in that area, especially if you're looking for night life. On Thursday night there's a fun art walk/street fair vibe. Definitely worth checking out. If you're looking for a relaxing, budget-friendly Cabo option this is the place to go.

Everything was really good. However when we checked in we paid the hospitality fee (which they had no change for-so bring exact amounts). Then 4 days into our stay we got a phone call saying we had not paid. We were told this same thing at check out, asking for more money. We did not appreciate this and felt it was very wrong and ‘scammy’ for the hotel to keep asking about the payment, which was required at checkin (so we had obviously paid it). We did not appreciate this at all.

This place is OK… the food is cold if you don’t show up right when buffet opens but it’s bearable if you stick to the classics. The drinks are average but did the job. The pool water was murky so we spent little to no time in them. Beach is very clean and no one bugs you but if you’re planning on swimming in the ocean don’t pick this resort, waves are too big. Overall average and you kinda get what you pay for with it being on the cheaper end.

I wish there wasn’t such a big focus on appeasing western culture. There really wasn’t anything that was authentic Mexican other than the dancers they had on Friday night. The food was catered to tourists so not much flavour. When I leave my home I would like to feel immersed in the country I’m visiting and this was not that. We didn’t see one avocado on the resort….. Food can make or break your trip and I wished the food was better, more authentic. The service was hit and miss. Some of the servers were amazing ie: Luis from the pool bar, but for the rest the service was mediocre. Other wise this place is good if those things don’t matter to you. On the positive side I felt super safe being here. There was visible security everywhere on the resort at all times. They even checked my Uber that picked us up to make sure we were in the right car and the driver was an actual licensed Uber driver.

Staff were excellent and property clean. Pools were excellent. The Expedia VIP access was very nice. We were happy to have early check in with no fees attached. Our only complaint was food services. The buffet food was not hot, although steam was coming out from around the stainless steel containers the food was luke warm. This should be tested and looked into. Also we paid a significant amount of money for a one night stay and we’re not allowed to book a sit down dinner.

I loved my stay at Barceló Gran Faro. Staff are polite, helpful & always available. Food was great everyday & had everything that we expected in an alll-inclusive resort. Snack bar was the best! Resort is close to the airport, shops & town center. My only suggestion is, the gym would be more efficient if they had more exercise equipments. Given the chance, God willing, I would go back to Barcelo for my next vacation.

Hotel is very family friendly, perfect for families or a budget trip. It is older, lots of improvements needed. Snack bar and buffet were the best food; restaurants were not great and we chose to walk to town for dinner instead. VERY long wait for getting checked in as a “premium” guest, we were able to store bags and use property but had to wait basically twice and they were in no rush to get us checked in, despite our trip being fully paid for and all inclusive. It was nice that there was a small separate pool and sunbathing area right at the beach with a bar for premium guests, but that was the only real special amenity we noticed.

The grounds are fantastic, they take pride in keeping everything clean and looking pristine. This was our 2nd time staying here, we will definitely be back again.
