“Great Location”
Not the actual RITZ, but perfect location. For a 2 Star hotel we were very nervous, but where surprisingly satisfied. The security guard woman was very friendly and was able to help with items our room needed. Only one complaint is they ran out of towels around 9pm and we had to wait until the next day for housekeeping to come in and wash. All in all perfect location, great price, enjoyed our stay. Also the self made Waffle machine they have for continental breakfast was a plus. YUM YUM!!!
“Felt like I was in a movie from the 1920's...”
Nostalgic...clean and located in an excellent spot to stay when downtown LA lifestyle is the target...
“Great hotel for a great deal!”
It was very spacious, we had a king size bed and a sofa bed. It was like a small suite, pretty classy. The bathroom was a nice size as well. There was also a rather large entryway with another sink and mirror, like a mini powder room. The free breakfast was nice, but pretty simple.
“Great but one problem”
The bathroom shower was awful. I could barely get any water to pump out of the dirt shower head and it took me over 1 hour to get a decent shower.
“Ritz Milner”
The Ritz Milner Hotel was a pleasant place to stay. The room was nice and clean and even though the bed was a little firm and the bathroom was tiny I was plenty comfortable for the night. The hotel is very close to just about everything downtown. Dinner at Roy's is just around the corner and there are some decent bars just a couple blocks away.
“great for the price!”
My girlfriend and I with another couple went to a concert at staples center on oct. 6 We stayed at the Ritz Milner. I read most of the positive reviews and all the negative ones, and I have to say I was a little worred, but when we got there we had a great experince. Yes the rooms are small, Yes in some rooms when you use the camode (if you are a 6'3" like me) it was a little cramped. but hey, if you don't feel like spending 400.00$$$ on a room where you are just spending 6 hours in, like us then the Ritz Milner is the place. People friendly, 100 year history, great entrance, and the bartender at the pub they have was HOT!!! nice side tatoo. great price and only 5.00$ to staples. safe area.
“Great location and helpful staff”
Great location, hepful staff and a gorgeous lobby. Bus stops and metro station very close, as are pharmacy, food stores and places to eat. The breakfast is a nice bonus, served from 6.30-10am. Has super-fast wood panelled elevators. Decor of the room we stayed in (lowest priced room) was very dated but everything was clean and in good order. For two people of average size with an average amount of luggage, the room wasn't too small but I think for larger people with more luggage it could be a bit of a squeeze. I would definitely stay here again.
“We have never in all our travels had a coninental breakfast as beautiful as the one served here.”
The Motel staff is friendly and very helpful. The food is excellent, the neighborhood is outstanding. My family will stay here again.
“Good location”
My buddy and I got a suite for basketball tournament at Staples Cntr and were pretty happy. Heard that normal rooms had super small bathrooms. Suite had normal smallish sized bathroom. 3 block or so walk to Staples Center. Nice free breakfast.
“Excellent Location for tourists”
We stayed in a suite which meant a king bed and lounge area. The Hotel was well located near 7th/Metro Center Blue/ Red line station as well as buses along 7th St. Breakfast provided was good and eating area neat and clean. Close by to Ralphs and a variety of eating venues as well as Macys Plaza. I would recommend this hotel to other Travellers because of its location and proximity to public transport.
